nope, it didn't matter. The ONLY way he would he had even a slim chance to keep his job is if he swept through the playoffs. And that was never going to happen.
that's obscene. I guess I'm biased towards Joe despite his screw ups because he's an old Yankee, so I was kind of put off by his ouster.
So Cashman just wants someone who will manage strictly based on the analytics and just to keep guys pumped up? I definitely agree with Ror that Joe shot himself in the foot several times. Maybe Boone who is younger will approach things differently.
Cashman has done such a fantastic job at rebuilding that at this point you really have to just see how things work out with Boone.
