Pelle waived. Not surprising since he's clearly not an NBA player

to be fair, roberson probably isnt at this point either

nash wasnt going to play pelle. he doesnt want to go big or play any non-offiensive player. he doesnt want to play jordan. i doubt roberson will play

Nash wasn't going to play Pelle because he looked horrible out there.

dude was not an NBA player. i think you're letting your agenda against Nash stand in the way of the facts. You are always the first guy on here to point out how someone isn't an NBA player but all of a sudden you're getting mad at Nash for not playing dudes that should be playing in China or Israel.

i didnt see much pelle. he is likely a trash d-leaguer. but we wouldnt know. he got like 0 burn. on a team that has tons of need at the 5. nash started bruce brown at center before giving pelle minutes. if thats the case you cant have the guy on the roster

nash and marks need to get on the same page.

Technically against GSW it was Irving/Brown/Harden/Harris/Durant, with Lord Beard playing point. Positionless basketball. We crossed matched since the Warriors played small as well.

However, Brown finished with 18 and 7. I would bet money Pelle wasn't going to get anything close to that.

Dude sucked. Most likely, Shump is getting cut too because he isn't available and frankly isn't that good. Marks is probably trying to keep us afloat until the buyouts start happening. I don't like it either but we probably have no choice

Imagine a lineup of Fox, Bogdanovic, Doncic, Barnes and Holmes! Epic fail.

my argument wasnt that pelle was good... it was that if nash would rather play brown at 5 then pelle, then it makes no sense to have pelle on the team.

Shumps hamstring is a bummer. he is still an all-nba calibur defender. he was outstanding last year. better then any wing we will get via buyout. certianly was better then roberson last year defensively. roberson was arguably a negative on D. maybe it was an injury thing and he is better now? who knows.

either way, marks is looking to bring in defenders and nash is looking to go as offense heavy as possible.

Good game but it’s a shame we can’t rest our key players because the 2nd unit and role players can’t hold a lead.

Pelle was a waste of a signing. He might have been great and he might have sucked but we will never know since he never got a fair shot.

Don't see the point of these signings when Nash is just going to roll out TLC for his standard 25 minutes a game.

That's right, we bad.

As for Pelle, that was a complete waste. At least Roberson can play some defense.

If he's bought out, next I would rather have Griffin than Shumpert.

Yeah I know, Griffin is a shell of his former self, but he's still an upgrade over Shumpert.

I can't fault Nash for not playing Pelle. He looked really bad man. Who knows what they saw behind the scenes. I'll wager Vonleh will be out the door too.

I like Shump but we need available bodies more than ever with the covid protocols and the need for us to rest the Big 3. I have no idea what Roberson will bring but if he can help defend that's a plus. Remember Brown can't shoot either but his defense and energy gets him burn in Nash's rotation, so I don't think it's a case of him hating defensive guys.

Hell you can make a case that Tyler Johnson's defensive activity is a huge reason as to why he is getting burn now.

Pelle played 28 minutes. That's not enough time to judge someone. Never got a real chance. It's fine I guess. DJ has looked better recently. Green is settling into the C spot. Vonleh can be the 3rd center in case of emergency.

I like the Roberson signing. If TLC and Shamet go back to their old tricks, we can bring out to grind it out defenders to change the pace of the game. I don't expect either to play a big role though.

These are the "sports" experts. When the Nets traded for Harden these guys were talking about how there weren't enough balls in the gym to go around between the Big 3. Kyrie talks about defining roles with Harden and now they question him for it? Yeah, ok. The media, especially the national media, are a pack of jackasses who don't know ****.

Nash likely isn't going to play anyone we're signing off the scrap heap unless we have no choice. Like, guys are in foul trouble, or we're resting players. And then if they give us good minutes, then maybe he'll experiment with them more and more. That's what got Brown a spot in the rotation. That's what got TJ a spot in the rotation.

Let's keep it in perspective. Nobody around the league wanted these guys. They were free agents for a reason. And they're not unknowns, they've been around the league for a while. Why should they get burn over guys that have been part of the rotation and actually have chemistry developed with our main guys already?

Especially since Pelle and Vonleh aren't necessarily an upgrade over Green on the defensive side of the ball. I don't think Nash has some bias against defensive role players, he just doesn't think they're rotation-level players at this point, and I can't blame him.

As for not wanting to play DeAndre...he's getting over 21 mpg, and he played 27 minutes last night. Played 36 minutes the game he played before that. He's getting plenty of playing time.

The problem with DeAndre is that he often hasn't played any better defense than what we get out of Jeff Green, and Jeff Green gives us a lot more on offense. Again, this isn't a bias against defensive players...it's a bias against guys that don't contribute on either side of the ball, and I can't blame Nash for not wanting to play useless players.

looked really bad in what? 17 minutes? he gave us 5 rebounds and 3 blocks in 15 minutes or so vs philly. after that we didnt really see him. maybe he sticks. my point is more that we will never know. most of these guys are bums, but every now and then you get a dinwiddie or a TLC.

Marks and Nash need to get on the same page. we can wait until buyouts but pelle and vonleh arent going to play and shump got hurt and its unlikely roberson sees any real minutes. Either nash needs to play these guys or marks needs to bring in the offensive guys nash will play.

Brown is playing alot now, but that took a while and he still gets buried for long stretches while we bleed points and is never rbought in late in games for final possesions when its a 1 possesion game

Instead of it being a fun meme, Skip tries to make "I'm the shooting guard" a negative issue. :o  No one cares about that **** man, anyone who watches the team for 5 minutes knows how much better we are with Harden carving defenses apart with his passes while Kyrie and KD attack from the perimeter.

Someone even yelled to Kyrie while he was in his post game interview "YO SHOOTING GUARD!"  i think it's hilarious

man there is a reason why these guys aren't employed. I can't get upset at Nash for not bothering with Pelle or Vonleh.

Also, we're in a different stage of the game now...we really don't have time to find out if Pelle would be the next gem in the rough, we need guys who can play now. Development time is over.

How come you're hung up over Pelle and Vonleh, but trash Claxton and Perry at the very mention of them playing? You literally said Nic Claxton should be bagging groceries
