maybe I'm misuderstanding your theory, though I do agree, Ratner trying to move the Nets out of state (NY/NJ) is always a possibility if Brooklyn falls through...
However, The Prudential Center is an easy out for him, regardless if he's looking to make money other ways...as much as its a fact that the Nets had a lack of support at the Meadowlands in the stands...the Nets have never had a chance to play at an arena within a city...If you dont know or have never been to where the Prudential Center is geographically in Newark...Its really ideal compared to the Meadowlands...with off the street ticket sales, easy and accessable mass transportation walking distance away (as the Garden has) and overall better seating for view of a game...The Rock is a frontrunner for plan B if Brooklyn falls through...add the fact that Newark is a basketball city and its safe to assume your ticket sales will go up...
