lolz. maybe if they didnt treat opposing players so poorly and didnt drag every player who left through the mud players would want to be there.
they could have kyrie and AD right now. but neithr want to go there cause they treat players like trash
lol love when Boston suffers, I'm so disappointed Kemba actually signed with them smh but they still aren't going anywhere and even after gift wrapping our future to them, we already blew way past them

jokes on them. Karma is a b****
im glad they signed kemba.... it means they wont solve their "too many shooters not enough basketballs" problem between kemba, jeyward, tatum and brown.
also it means they cant add bigs and that rozier, morris, theirs, and baynes are all gone.
kemba is awesome and a big name but they would have been better off getting randle and/or vucevic, handing the keys to tatum/brown and being a deep team
Celtics fan here.... I disagree with you and with what Ainge did as well.
IMO best plan under the current circumstances was just a mini rebuild. Once the Laker went all in on AD, Boston couldn't beat that offer and have a chance to win. So best plan would have been use cap space to take on 1 year bad contracts like Memphis just did with Iggy. Get a couple of first round picks by taking on Iggy like contracts to increase the asset base. Trade away Hayward before deadline if his value increases and you can get a decent first round pick for him.
Build around Tatum/Brown/Smart and this years picks and last years pick. Then use trade assets to acquire stars that fit.
But even though I don't like K Walker enough at the max given his age since his defense doesn't seem good enough, I think the too many players shooting is solved as of right now. One problem Celtics still have right now is Tatum and hayward are both SF's. You player either one at a different position and they lose some value.
Morris/Rozier both gone and both of them were players that like to score/shoot. Walker probably willing to cut back his shots on a better team. Horford gone and decent chance his replacement doesn't shoot quite as much.
Team may end up trading Brown or hayward plus a pick for a big at the appropriate time. Celtics still have options and still a chance to build a team that wins it all but I think odds would have been better taking step back to increase asset base.
The argument for doing what Ainge did is he just has Tatum on a rookie deal for 2 more years and he may want to go for it one of those 2 years while the league may be relatively open if Leonard doesn't go to Lakers.
