Dude we're in Brooklyn now and there are some Nets fans in Brooklyn and the boroughs as well.

This I realize, have known since they moved to BK,I have also included the years in NJ as well as you cannot ignore the history they have in NJ.

Its hitting me now. I'm damn near hyperventilating lol. Was working and I got a text from my one friend that's a Nets fan. Even though the rumors have been out there for a while its still a shock to the system. And the fact that its actually happened makes me feel better about letting D-lo walk, as much as I hate to say it. Got some exciting times ahead of us.

im glad they signed kemba.... it means they wont solve their "too many shooters not enough basketballs" problem between kemba, jeyward, tatum and brown.

also it means they cant add bigs and that rozier, morris, theirs, and baynes are all gone.

kemba is awesome and a big name but they would have been better off getting randle and/or vucevic, handing the keys to tatum/brown and being a deep team

banner day for the Nets.

and what no one is talking about, unlike most situations were multiple stars teamed up, the nets have a TON of role players and depth. We have shooters, we have bigs, we have ball handlers. we can put the leagues best 3 point shooter next to kyrie and durant. we can put allen who was 7th in dunks next to them to finish offf the attention they draw. we have levert to do damange when those guys rest. we have dinwiddie off the bench, we have kurucs who is great off the ball, another lights out shooter in prince.

we basically added durant to a 45 win core that upgraded from russell to durant.

unreal.

Kyrie | Harris | Levert | Durant | Allen
Dinwiddie | Musa | Prince | Kurucs | Deandre
This is why I was never on the AD train. The appeal to Brooklyn was the ability to bring in 2 max talent to play with a great core of guys. This team has excellent mix right now.

Superstars: KD and Kyrie

Young players with potential: Levert and Allen

Roleplayers with elite skills: Joe, Spencer, Jordan

Vets: Prince, Temple, possibly Dudley

Developmental guys (important for top heavy teams): Musa, Rodi, Claxton, Pinson, Hands.

Insurmountable mountains of salt

They expect guys to take the abuse they give them and still be happy to be there? Ok. Remember NBA TV interviewing a trio of Celtics fans on draft night and they were absolutely trashing Langford and Grant Williams along with Kyrie. I'd say this is just deserts for them. Screw'em.

So roster as of now:

Kyrie - Dinwiddie - Musa - Hands
Levert - Harris - Pinson
Prince - Temple
Kurocs - A. Williams
Allen - Jordan - Claxton

+KD.

Who starts between Jordan and Allen?

Celtics fan here.... I disagree with you and with what Ainge did as well.

IMO best plan under the current circumstances was just a mini rebuild. Once the Laker went all in on AD, Boston couldn't beat that offer and have a chance to win. So best plan would have been use cap space to take on 1 year bad contracts like Memphis just did with Iggy. Get a couple of first round picks by taking on Iggy like contracts to increase the asset base. Trade away Hayward before deadline if his value increases and you can get a decent first round pick for him.

Build around Tatum/Brown/Smart and this years picks and last years pick. Then use trade assets to acquire stars that fit.

But even though I don't like K Walker enough at the max given his age since his defense doesn't seem good enough, I think the too many players shooting is solved as of right now. One problem Celtics still have right now is Tatum and hayward are both SF's. You player either one at a different position and they lose some value.

Morris/Rozier both gone and both of them were players that like to score/shoot. Walker probably willing to cut back his shots on a better team. Horford gone and decent chance his replacement doesn't shoot quite as much.

Team may end up trading Brown or hayward plus a pick for a big at the appropriate time. Celtics still have options and still a chance to build a team that wins it all but I think odds would have been better taking step back to increase asset base.

The argument for doing what Ainge did is he just has Tatum on a rookie deal for 2 more years and he may want to go for it one of those 2 years while the league may be relatively open if Leonard doesn't go to Lakers.

Temple would be a good back up shooting guard that's what he was in LA. Harris could be the starting small forward it's up to the coach. Competition is a good thing.
On paper they're a good team!! Who knows Harris might still start at small forward and they bring Prince off the bench, so many options. :D

As far as who starts at center I'd think Allen would but it doesn't matter who starts. The problem Allen had last year is he got torched by opposing bigs. If the only way to solve that is by starting De'Andre so be it. It's all about what's best for the team.

After many drinks, I still can't believe we just completed the 100% ideal off-season. Just unbelievable.

Kyrie/Dinwiddie/Pinson
LeVert/Musa
Harris/Temple
Rodi/Prince/Dudley
Allen/Jordan/Williams

With Durant waiting in the wings.

Such a balanced squad. So many options for Kenny to mess with. If Rodi or LeVert make a leap this year, we're gonna be a major problem. If not, we should still have a good squad.

50 win floor if kyrie plays 70+ games
