We really don't know yet if Mitch and KAT will work well together. Also, will KAT remain as effective on offense if he is alongside Mitch?
KAT is having a historic season in large part because we are running 5-out.
I seriously doubt that KAT and Mitch can play together. Mitch hasn’t developed any offensive skills, so his man would just plant himself in the paint, taking away driving opportunities for the entire team. The team’s offensive efficiency would plummet and until Mitch’s next injury. Not to mention we’d have to force KAT to guard in space. Mitch should be counted on as nothing more than a bench big at this point
So why was this not a huge issue:
1, last year in Minnessota with Gobert?
2, last 2 years with the Knicks, when Robinson had the same exact offensive skills he has today?
We run the risk of KAT's 3pt shooting percentage going down from 43% to 36% if he is playing alongside Mitch. Maybe that's an exaggeration but I could foresee a dip
