At work, I keep the headphones plugged in for such situation. I know it's not great, but what else can you do?
At home, it's also a problem for those late finishing games when my wife is asleep and unexpected sounds could wake her up. It's bad enough on those rare occasions when the Knicks were doing so well I couldn't keep myself from cheering out loud... but it wasn't that often, unfortunately.

I listen to Howard Stern, Joe Rogan, and Opie and Jim all day every day at work. so I always have my headphones on. Only I can hear the ads when they pop up, but it's still annoying. :D

You are a lucky guy. I have to be able to listen to my bosses.
If they won't let you download even an ad blocker, then maybe you're actually not that lucky. Do they let you use a good browser?

I'll have to try to download an ad blocker to see if it works. I work from my house for a major (industry leading, all over the world type) corporation. We use an up to date explorer, but I also have Firefox on here. I have been using Firefox lately because Realgm kept asking me to accept a security certificate last week? I guess I should have reported that too.

You can definitely download an ad blocker for Firefox that will keep those ads from disturbing you. There are also sites - for example, CNN, that annoy with autoplaying videos that include audio. They can't be bloked too easily without drastically limiting the browser's functionality. PITA.

Try a mix of yoga and pilates classes if they have them to go with the weights and hoops. You'll be sore in places you didn't know existed which is a good sign you're conditioning your body more completely. Muscle men collapse in yoga classes. It can be rough at times, but you'll get stronger and leaner.

Hey guys, I'm new to this boards. I've joined a few days ago, actually had knowledge of Mindaugas Kuzminskas signing a bit earlier. Finally joined now, but have been long time fan since 20 years.

I'm Lithuanian, but living in Australia. Last year, I travelled with my wife to watch Knicks play in MSG. Did not get to see them win unfortunately, but still got to live my dream, so am happy for that. Hopefully I can come watch again soon with upgraded team.

I will not post too much, as I'm not 100% confident with my English grammar. But want to say LET'S GO KNICKS!!

Aciu labai!!

After many years of being too provincial to understand the rest of the world, New York now loves players from the Baltics. Thanks to Kristaps and Latvia, we're ready for Lithuania, too. Welcome and don't worry about your grammar. Please tell us what you know about our new small forward Kuzminskas. Enjoy the fun this season along with the rest of us!

Thank you. :D But I'm wanting to perfect the English grammar, to work on getting a better career in Australia. So as I appreciate the the warm welcomes, it's for myself personally not to get caught with the slangs and bad English. I will contribute when I can, as I would like to celebrate what is looking to become an exciting future for our beloved Knicks!

I have read these boards for some time now, and now I believe that I'm new member and will receive some STFU and GTFO

I'm Lithuanian and have been supporting all Lithuanian teams (mostly the Raptors), but now I'm a Knicks fan as well I guess

Yes. We all love JV, but I never liked Raptors. I loved Sabonis and Jasikevicius most.

I don't like being just a "player only fan", I like getting invested into the team as well, so while Raptors were excruciating to follow at times, I sticked with them

I was meaning to say, I loved them as players, but have always been a Knicks fan, since 1994.

Hi all - visiting to say hello (I work in NY too).

Just curious if anyone solved the extremely tough riddle posted on the NY Knicks forum a while ago: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=891599#start_here

Another Lithuanian reporting in. Gonna keep one eye on Kuzminskas, one eye on Sabonis in OKC, one eye on Motiejūnas in HOU if they extend him and I'm already keeping an eye on Valančiūnas in TOR. It's getting tough following all the Lithuanians in NBA these days...
Anyway, best of luck to Kuzminskas and the Knicks, i hope he fits in just right and contributes to the team's success.
