I am sure others have made this point, but this is a profoundly poor take for anyone who knows the Knicks as well as you do.
Thibs defense i backboned by rim protection. With how he uses (abuses) his centers, you need to go into a season 3-4 deep.
Mitch is injury prone so he will play about 25mpg on average and play 50 games if you are the luckiest.
Sims is fine as a 3rd guy at present.
Randle would single handedly break our defense on most occasions and that is taking aside that he too has been hurt to some degree every year.
2 positions we need depth at
lead guard/table setter
drop coverage defensive anchor
so yea, we need a player in the worst way and pretty much every 1/4 decent name has evaporated.
Even Mo Wagner just got 2/22.
