Raymond Felton readily admits he stunk last season in NY. He's excited about fresh start with Mavs, motivated to prove he can still play.
oh, f*ck him. f*ck him.
If I had a dime for every time Felton wanted to prove he could still play, I'd have 30 cents.
btw, unless I misremember, Raymond Felton was once the 5th pick in an NBA draft.
Once upon a time, some fans just like us were all excited about Ray Felton and how he was going to be the steal of the lottery and couldn't wait to see him debut in summer league.
If that doesn't send a chill down the backs of you rebuild through the draft guys, then you're beyond help.

That's all I was asking for.
How about Melo at $4m less than the max next year?
I honestly can't remember, but I think the max Melo can make is 20 mill for next season. And I think we still have to let Shump go under than scenario. I'd have to find my old posts or do the math all over again, and also again, I am not a cap wizard and probably made mistakes.
It would be great if someone can lay it all out there for us.
I think Melo's max number for next year would be $22.4 mil. Could be wrong, though.

The numbers do support that picks, even high lottery picks, are a crap shoot. But that 50-50 type crap shoot is desirable compared to the 0% payoff we've seen from the Knicks over the last 20 years. Even if that's a partly emotional argument, it's understandable and it's also not a completely irrational approach either.
For instance, we could have had Aldridge and Noah right now but instead we went for the sure things, Eddy Curry and Jamal Crawford.
