oh, f*ck him. f*ck him.

If I had a dime for every time Felton wanted to prove he could still play, I'd have 30 cents.

btw, unless I misremember, Raymond Felton was once the 5th pick in an NBA draft.

Once upon a time, some fans just like us were all excited about Ray Felton and how he was going to be the steal of the lottery and couldn't wait to see him debut in summer league.

If that doesn't send a chill down the backs of you rebuild through the draft guys, then you're beyond help.

The numbers do support that picks, even high lottery picks, are a crap shoot. But that 50-50 type crap shoot is desirable compared to the 0% payoff we've seen from the Knicks over the last 20 years. Even if that's a partly emotional argument, it's understandable and it's also not a completely irrational approach either.

For instance, we could have had Aldridge and Noah right now but instead we went for the sure things, Eddy Curry and Jamal Crawford.

Knicks president Phil Jackson has talked to multiple teams in recent days -– including the Philadelphia 76ers –- about moving Amar’e Stoudemire in an effort to clear more cap space this summer, sources say. ESPN.com - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors/tag/new_yor ... KmIcA.dpuf

How about Melo at $4m less than the max next year?

I honestly can't remember, but I think the max Melo can make is 20 mill for next season. And I think we still have to let Shump go under than scenario. I'd have to find my old posts or do the math all over again, and also again, I am not a cap wizard and probably made mistakes.

It would be great if someone can lay it all out there for us.

I think Melo's max number for next year would be $22.4 mil. Could be wrong, though.

That's this year.

Not sure...I think I stated in one of the earlier threads that if Melo makes 18 million for next season, we could sign a max player with little problem.

LOL look at us... All acting like little school kids on the night before Christmas...overanxious and can't wait.

But this isn't childhood and this isn't Christmas. There are multiple million dollar deals going on, most of which none of us have a clue about. These are not done in the blink of an eye. Sometimes, especially when millions are involved, it takes time to dot every "i'" and cross every "t." So as hard as this might be to accept, BE PATIENT.

Do you want a deal that's done RIGHT, or do you want a deal that's rushed just so you can know about it and satisfy your anxiety? Naturally, we all want to know...but let it all play out. Phil is no fool. He knows what he's doing. He's not sitting around nervous and unknowledgeable. He's doing his job and we should let him. The info will come when it comes and is in the best interest of this franchise. So CALM DOWN!

Love will absolutely not agree to sign an extension with the Knicks if they've got no supporting cast for him. I'd say the only plan if Melo doesn't come back is hope the Thunder don't win a championship and pry Durant away from them (which is a pretty terrible plan as well).

Ray plays both ends of the court in that he changes over to each side of the court, moving a bit slowly. That's about it. Its only true as a literal statement.

My god. I would almost hope the Knicks trade Amare and all of their draft picks for Josh Smith if it would only make you SHUT UP with these horrible black and white draft scenarios you keep inserting into every damn thread. Just start your own passive aggressive thread again and do it there.

I think people need to try hard to separate approach and execution.

The Knicks failures could entirely be a product of a lack of execution rather than a failed philosophy.

Eddy Curry was a ridiculous reach. Crawford, unless I misremember, was an MLE signing with in NO way should have been regarded as a core acquisition. It was just billed at such to a hungry fanbase on a team that didn't have the means to do anything else.

Why would anyone guarantee anything that is not in their control? With all the top free agents taking their time things could change in any direction in a heartbeat.
