Melo will be waived. Phil does not want him here and rightfully so.

He does not fit in with the way the game is played today, but most importantly his game does not fit into the triangle.

He has to go, and thankfully phil knows that.

Melo will not be a knick on opening night.

I disagree. So many reasons for him not to be waived. Maybe a trade where we get back essentially useless players but there are way too many reasons for Melo to prefer being traded over being waived. If it comes down to that, I can see Melo accepting a semi desirable destination.

Isola mentioned the Wizards stuff after Mecca mentioned Washington.

That with what LaLa and John Wall said, lets push this rumor. We can make it happen, guys.

Carmelo is a much better player than Noah. Of course, with all things being equal, he would be more wanted.

All things are not equal though. Melo has a barrier in the form of a NTC, which prevents him from being traded.

Physically gifted? Sure. Who actually contributes more to winning? Probably Noah. You dont get extra credit for looking smooth taking long two point jumpers and missing them.

I can't believe you typed that

jab stepping, holding the ball and missing contested 2 point jumpshots- it's what secretly wins in this league.

Only the Knicks would be the dumbazz franchise to straight up waive Carmelo Anthony at this point in his career. Anybody advocating for that is stupid and shouldn't have their opinion taken seriously.

Staying close to his son might be #1 priority, but everything is a negotiation. If the Knicks cut him today and agreed to pay him every cent they owe him, I have a hard time believing he'd retire (or play for the Nets) to stay close to his son. He'd be on the next flight to Cleveland.

Say we are fine with Mahinmi/Kelly Oubre and a first round draft pick from Washington. They would jump on the deal.

Melo is not going anywhere then if what Isola said its true. I don't know how many of you ahve a family/kids but that overshadows everything else. If we want him gone it will have to be a buyout.

Isola said Melo would accept a trade to the 6ers

I don't think he's reliable

But in this case he is just saying what he heard from Lala. All we have to do is find out if indeed that is what she said on that show.

Isola, I think, actually has a decent relationship with Melo and his agent. Melo's been on his radio show a couple times. I wouldn't be shocked if he was actually right about this.

If we buy him out he still counts against our cap right? Not that it matters much since I hope we don't sign anyone long term and tank properly this time around.

So how cant he leave New York for family reasons but then sign with Cleveland after buyout? Dont fall for this disgusting LePossé trap

If its true I genuinely question anyone's fanhood for supporting a guy who basically forced his way to New York resulting multiple picks prospects gone while trying to force his departure by way of buyout to go ring chasing for free, truly disgusting

Is this directed at me? I care that we get something in return for him. But it seems we won't. Him leaving is good for the tank. Which I am all for.
