Melo will be waived. Phil does not want him here and rightfully so.

He does not fit in with the way the game is played today, but most importantly his game does not fit into the triangle.

He has to go, and thankfully phil knows that.

Melo will not be a knick on opening night.

I disagree. So many reasons for him not to be waived. Maybe a trade where we get back essentially useless players but there are way too many reasons for Melo to prefer being traded over being waived. If it comes down to that, I can see Melo accepting a semi desirable destination.

Carmelo is a much better player than Noah. Of course, with all things being equal, he would be more wanted.

All things are not equal though. Melo has a barrier in the form of a NTC, which prevents him from being traded.
