Understanding the Knicks culture is important as it's certainly unique throughout the league.
1 thing I'll say is that the Knicks may be apprehensive developing a non defensive star.its like acquiring a Carmelo but as a rookie, not 5-6 years down the line.
Imo acquiring offense is most important in a rebuild. Defense can come later once an offensive system has been established
For ex., Cavs big 3 were all offensive stars but the Cavs didn't build defense around them, at least when they did it was too late and for marginal players, hood, nance, hill.

Thank you for your profound contribution to the argument
just my opinion. it’s that simple to me
a lot of his struggles had to do with the configuration of dukes team imo. i think he fits well into today’s NBA. strong work ethic . People are unnecessarily low on him

Duke's unsuccessful season this year, rests squarely on the "godly" shoulders of Coach K. He was clearly overwhelmed by his own talent this year and didn't develop a great team offense.
JR Barrett has that sought-after "IT" factor. Please don't sleep on him working harder than anyone else on the team to develop his game and becoming a star in a couple of years. From what I've read, his competitive nature is unmatched, evident by the performance against a heavily favorite USA AAU team.
As posted earlier, if you're lucky enough to have a #3 pick, draft it and develop it or else only trade it for a superstar. THAT"S IT!!!!
NO TO TRADING DOWN JUS FOR MORE IF"S.

moocow007 wrote:Exactly. Maybe they should play the last 3 games of the tournament Culver played...ya know games that might actually how Culver would do against the better defenses and better defenders he'd face on a nightly basis in the NBA? You know where he shot 24% combined from the field and was basically getting embarrassed?Capn'O wrote:That video is funny. Yeah, Culver looks better when you just show him making shots and Barrett only missing. No bias at all.
My guess this vid was created by a Cavs fan who realizes that Barrett us the guy they desperately need.
