I think we need an informal policy of not posting Incarcerated Bob stuff. It lowers the level of rumors on this board.

Didnt we say this crap about Lebron? And how the Nets had a better presentation? Look how that turned out

There is no guarantee that the area in Brooklyn is going to be ready for 2012. I live near a few train stops away from Atlantic Terminal and it's not even close to being built.

Ken Berger: Mentioned on WFAN there are those in league who believe #Nets would do Melo deal w/o extension. "No way," source just told me. about 29 minutes ago

Can there be an exception if his stuff is posted with the sole intent of making fun of him?

My thinking is, when all is said and done Melo will be dealt within 2 weeks to NY.
I get the feeling that his reps will do what the client REALLY wants done and work something out with NY.

This whole Randolph conversation now makes things real interesting. Combine that with the fact that Azuibuke's contract is now 80% insured and you have the makings of a deal falling into place. Anybody who thinks Leon Rose was at MSG last night to discuss Eddy Curry's unhappiness is smoking the bestest and they need to share it!

I can not see Melo fully committing to NJ until he is 100% sure that NY is not an option and he is not sure of that yet. At least that is how he seems to sound of late. He constantly mentions coming home to play and his love of MSG in particular. That can't continue to be ignored by us as fans and by the media pundits.

I can see Donnie doing 1 deal and filling numerous NEEDS in one fell swoop. I see NY being one of the few teams willing to take back a contract from Denver IF it means Melo comes with the deal. As far as trading Anthony Randolph who is a linchpin in this whole Melo-drama, I only can see two teams being major players in a deal with NY and those teams are Indy and Portland both who covet Randolph for a 1st rd pick. My instincts tell me Portland will be the destination Donnie deals with. And in my mind that is because they have pieces that may be of interest to The Nuggets!

So I am going all in on the following hunch, NY will get Melo, Birdman (who mysteriously is now out for a week with knee and back issues, yeah right) and Patty Mills, who gets dealt from NY is anyone's guess, but I believe Fields will still be a Knick when the dust settles.

My prediction is Melo will be dealt to NY within the next 2 weeks!

i thought the whole point of leaving the place you were drafted and had success in was to team up with amar'e AND be in NY, the combination.. not spend your first 7 years turning around and maintaining one franchise to then spend your prime years turning around another one

How does Barkley say it in the T-Mobile Commercial?

"I may be, I may be wrong, I may be, I may be wrong"

But the one rule we all have to follow is, "You have to follow your heart"

New Jersey is not in that man's heart!

i think the deal gets done soon just not to where we want it to be. I hope if he goes to the nets they stay a bottom of the barrel team. I was born in brooklyn and lived they far longer that melo but i am a knick fan end of story and so is all of brooklyn. That aint changing for a while fellas. you gotta wait for the younger generation that is looking for a team to grow up into consumers. The novelty of seeing a brooklyn uniform will subside after time.

Melo is going to ask questions and the Russian is going to have answers. Thats the problem. But id love to know the pitch on adding talent. I guess you just tell Melo we are gonna go out and spend tons of money. Melo hopefully sees that they have no chance at adding another star after him but i have a bad feeling the russian is gonna sweet talk melo quick

Don't be a hater now. Brooklyn will damn sure get behind that team. Brooklyn will always represent. It wont just be a novelty, it will be 100% support. People from Brooklyn have a totally different swagger than most other boroughs, trust me on that. Brooklyn people truly believe they are the straw that stirs the drink in NYC! :D

The Nets coming to BK is a real threat to The Knicks. Will they ever overtake them as the city's hoop team? Nah, I doubt that. Too much history at MSG. But make no mistake, folks will come out and that joint will be full EVERY night! Don't hate. If dude goes to The Nets or not, once they come to BK, it's on and poppin' BELIEVE THAT!
