Imho a 6'6 isiah Thomas would be the best ever over a 6'6 iverson.

Smoke screen. Ain't no 165 lbs. gnat playing for the Knicks next season.

Pretty recently the PG who he took over for at alabama Collin Sexton went 8th over SGA who went to UK and was selected 11th so I hesitate to believe that

He should be our priority with our late first rounder

I see Kira as more of a really good pg off the bench. I like the energy he plays with, but needs some work with his facilitating, strength and overall feel for the game. I dont really see a super high ceiling. He is still pretty young so you never know. Think it would be a big reach to take him with our lottery pick and he probably wont be there at #27 so unless we trade he is probably not in our range
Mavs
C: Horford | Goga | Paul Reed |
PF: Lauri Markkanen | Randle | Tucker
SF: Trey Murphy | Trent | Anderson | Simone
SG: Vassell | Trent | Livingston
PG: Spida | Mann | Deuce

A lot of the rumors we are hearing makes me think the knicks want to move up in the draft probably by consolidating picks. Which makes sense since we already have young players now who can’t get playing time to develop (iggy, Trier, Dotson, and Knox). I also keep saying this but knicks should look to move that Mavs 2023 pick. The 1-10 protection on it limits its value. it’s valuable as a pick but it’s a more valuable as a trade chip.
I think the wolves at #16 and Celtics at #17 might be willing to trade down. Wolves to lower their rookie salary, Celtics to swap a 2020 pick for the future pick because they are always active in collecting future picks. Celtics probably wouldn’t event want our second rounder because they really have to many picks for their roster and are slotted to draft 4 players this year already.

LOL
I remember what’s it was like trying to put weight in my skinny frame. Especially if you have a high metabolism. I drank all these protein shakes, ate steaks and pasta and lifted weight.
Can Lewis out on 10-15 lbs of armor on his body, probably. But also, that’s probably about it. He would end up being a change of pace bench piece at best.

I would absolutely not trade up from 27 to mid lotto, someone good will be there at 27 and 38 anyway. For those saying trade up what exactly are you suggesting giving up here

Is there any legit rumors? It sounds more like reporters are just giving their opinion.

If you think Berman has insider info, yes. But I'm highly skeptical of that

with all the uncertainty now, it's the smart choice for most of these kids. take the money. it doesn't seem like there will be any events with large groups of people in attendance for a long while. might not be until sometime later in 2021.

yeah tough to pass on that kind of money if its being offered. And if these kids are getting offered the safety of getting paid college in the future if they want then its a no brainer.
Even if these kids suffer a career ending injury they have the backup plan to go to college for free paid by the g-league.
probably will be easier for scouting too because in college you play like 25-30 games. The g-league has a 50 game season. You basically get double tape with more access vs better competition (grown men)

between now and 2022, i expect a lot of star boys to stay close and get paid. there's a risk of getting exposed playing against wiser more mature players. but if you're making decent money off the bat, that makes sense.
i know i'd rather go this route than go to a college i only intend to attend for one year.

for the super talented players that were only going to stay in college for 1 year this make complete sense. The only reason this doesn't work out if the young guys get swallowed up in the g-league and they hurt there draft stock.
I would rather these guys get evenly distributed around the g-league. I think it would better suit them if they all were on different teams then having one really young team because it would better simulate the mix of an NBA roster.
but beggers can't be choosers. The one and done college player was a joke.
