But wouldn't the most ready plug and play rookie make sense there if they do go the draft route?
Even though I don't think Sanders has wards upside. I do feel he is pretty plug and play with the mental side of the game. And most people think Stefanski's system (west coast style) kinda is well suited for a player of Sanders skill set.
Who knows what they told Garrett...but obviously they $$$ and they must have made him feel good about there plan at QB. I don't know if a player like Garrett would be giddy over a Joe Flacco or a run of the mill vet.
You consider Sander plug and play now ? Awwww ****. You coming around lol.
I means it’s possible that he is viewed like that by them, i don’t know.
Myles said something of the effect “ it looks like we can make it happen”
If it was simply a draft pick, I feel like the language would be different. More of a certainty …since they guaranteed they will get a QB at 2
I mean ya man Milton on the block so there is also trade options out there.
Who knows. All I can say is he didn’t get rookie vibes from it.
Why do you think I don't like Sanders? I have never said I didn't like him
I think he is pretty plug and play. My concerns is his ceiling and whats the high end for him at the NFL level. I believe Wards ceiling is higher which is why I like him better. Doesn't mean I don't like Sanders, in terms of the mental side and being able to grasp an NFL offense I think he is ahead of Ward right now and has a pretty high floor, but I believe in Wards ceiling because of the physical tools. I also think Carter is a generational type pass rusher. So I really like him. Those are the only 2 players I have head and shoulders above Sanders. With Hunter I'm so/so. I think he is a crazy good player. But his true value is playing both ways (since I think there is arguably a better CB and WR in this class) he just is better because he plays both. But how can he survive in the NFL playing both ways. There is no such thing as a part time DB (defensive requires so much scheming he has to be a full time CB and a gadget type WR - and you can make the argument he is more of a natural WR than DB) which is super valuable but the game is won with QB play and in the trenches and he doesn't help with either.
You didn’t have to explain your stance. Y’all take me way to literal sometimes lol.
Yeah with Hunter his value isn’t all that if he not playing both, which he won’t be doing in the nfl with a regularity .He was getting nicked up a lot in Colorado doing it.
Still a good pick, but yeah you can argue he is not the best at either position.
You know I rock with Carter.
I’m just on the QB train right now. I get it Ward pops more, but unless they trade we don’t have no shot. So I move on to who next up.
You know I don’t rock with schoen like that, but as I said before, if SS failed as the pick, I would not fault him. Im not afraid of failure here. You just have to move on. Similar to what the Bears did.
It’s like with the Knicks, bthere were plenty of times before Brunson, we kept passing on the need of the team, hoping to strike magic at another position, and it kept holding us back even more.
Like we KNOW we NEEDED a PG, and still picked Obi Toppin. Haliburton may not be liked here, but he is a hell of a player and would have been a great pick for us. People overly nit picked his flaws vs his strengths the same way I feel people do with SS.
Unlike the NBA, we not finding a Jalen Brunson to fix that error of passing on a critical need. It’s much harder to do it with the hardest position to fill in the NFL.
So I’m fine with failure cause we at least tried. Better to try and fail, then not try at all.
Last year we turned our noses up at Bo Nix and brushed him off, But I would rather have Bo nix than Nabers. The Broncos can breathe now.
