This makes sense. The sole reason d'antoni quit was because of melo. I done even know why melo accept to waive his ntc to go to Houston. We all saw what d'antoni did to marbury. Melo better buy in this time around, I don't think Houston and Harden is going to drop their coach of the year if a player doesn't buy into their system.
James Harden, and more importantly, Chris Paul. Paul has a lot of pull in the league and D'antoni knows this is a players league. Melo has his best shot to win a title in Houston and he's best friends with Cp3. Makes a lot of sense. D'antoni would deal, and their crap relationship is way overblown.

The main problem is Will Barton. You can probably argue that Will Barton deserves $71 million almost as much as Tim Hardaway does. Meaning that Barton isn't just a salary add on. The Nuggets would have to really really value Ryan Anderson to do this. They basically give up 3 guys that you can argue is more productive than Anderson (or at least has more value) so they can get Anderson (along with Jared Dudley and QM)? I'm not seeing Denver being ok with that.

I agree on Harden and Cp3 going to convince d'antoni even tho mike himself had coached melo already and fully knows melos game than the two players I still agree with you on that part.
I'm just saying that if things didn't pan out the way it supposed to and a certain player is starting to show displeasure in the system and blaming the coach then I won't be surprised if he gets that marbury treatment.
