The main problem is Will Barton. You can probably argue that Will Barton deserves $71 million almost as much as Tim Hardaway does. Meaning that Barton isn't just a salary add on. The Nuggets would have to really really value Ryan Anderson to do this. They basically give up 3 guys that you can argue is more productive than Anderson (or at least has more value) so they can get Anderson (along with Jared Dudley and QM)? I'm not seeing Denver being ok with that.

Yeah, I was working under the assumption Denver doesn't want to pay him that money. Lowe said on his pod they may be looking to dump him for a 2nd rounder in the future... But I agree with your overall point.

Considering Olympic Melo was pretty damn mediocre this past go around...not sure it's as great as it would've been had this happened a few years earlier

Melo was the primary guy when D'antoni was here. The clear cut alpha. On Houston he would be the third option, and CP3 and Harden would keep him in line. It seems like Harden and D'antoni have a good relationship so I doubt Melo f's that up. He can't be that stupid.
