I don't even know the original frame of reference of this analogy but I can't stay out of a food argument.

i don't even remember how it started either

Melo's shot selection.

I gotta say, fries at the Jersey shore are the best. Perhaps atmosphere (beach) helps, but I like light seasoned fries that come from actual potato with the skin still on so you know it's not a potato product but an actual cut potato. Accented with some salt to taste after coming from the fryer and a dash of pepper. That's a good snack.

The crying over spilled milk is weak. As good as Mitchell is, what we don't know yet is what Frank's future net positives will be. If Frank turns out to be an all-world defender who shuts down guys like Donovan, then Frank's differentials in the future may actually be equal to or exceed a guy averaging 25 PPG.

If Frank averages 15-20 PPG while clamping down on scorers and shaving off 10-15 points on their usual production, then his +/- could easily become elite.

People have no patience.

There is this concept called "time value of money".

Interesting to read about and could be applied here.

Tell the people who want to unload the whole team to acquire Kahwi about the time value of money.

Kawhi has his returns now.

I really like KP but realistically he isn't going to be 100% for a least 2 seasons. KP for Kawhi straight up is the most I would do. This is assuming we can draft Doncic.

If we get Doncic I keep the team as is.

Philly ain’t ready. Need 1 more year. Next year they got it.

Philly is stopping them. All those shooters.

Yeah Philly looks like a matchup nightmare for the Cavs. Simmons has the size to matchup with Lebron pretty well but on the other end who is going to stop Embiid from eating in the paint? Tristan Thompson? Kevin Love? Nance? They got nobody for the big fella. On top of that, all those shooters like you said.

I don't know why I thought Philly had a better record than the Celtics so I figured Philly had homecourt advantage but my friend reminded me today that Cs got homecourt. Interesting that the series starts in Boston, Philly has a shot to steal game 1 because they are going to have the fresher legs. That could shorter the series by 1 game, I thought it might go 7 but it probably goes 6 if Philly can get one on the road

I actually think Toronto is going to demolish the Cavs.

Let's go back to the trade, the Cavs basically traded an unhappy point guard who can still start for the Lakers bench. Short-term worked but then as the regular season came to a close the weaknesses started to show. Terrible defensively. Toronto's backcourt has a supreme advantage. Raptors have the muscle to cover Love.

Of course Lebron will have enough polish to push it to 6 games but Raptors will make it to next round against Philly.

I'm so excited for tonight's game. I want to see how the Sixers fare against the C's.

Agreed. I still have Toronto coming out of the East.

Depleted Boston vs. Philly could be a very good series too.

People really feel the Celtics can't beat Philly? Like no chance at all?

I bet the strategy was something like "come off the bench and take all the shots you want while Russ is resting" but got blown up because...well...melo gon' melo.

What is up with the 2nd round times? 6pm tipoffs and that Sat 5pm game isn't ideal competing with the derby...not that I care about horseracing, but its always a good drinking day

East is wide open. I would not be surrpised to see any of the teams come out.

If I had to pick one I would pick the Cavs. Lebron always finds a way. In order I would go:

1. Cavs
2. Sixers
3. Raptors
4. Celtics

That probably means it will be the Celtics.
