His on/off rtngs will show that he's an elite player that contributes on both sides of the court.
but underneath the stats and tape, you find a guy who can't make his teammates better on offense other than being used as a decoy spacer because he won't pass the ball to save his life.
underneath the stats on defense, you'll see that in isolation he's an average defender. his value is completely at the rim and being a help defender.
simply put, the guy is low iq basketball player. Put him in an environment where he needs to make a lot of decisions he sucks. Hasn't shown 1 bit of improvement in 4 years at any aspect of his game.
Lol, so you basically mention a couple of his flaws, and that's your argument why he actually sucks and analytics are lying?
Sure, he can't pass. But spacing is actually a big component on making your teammates better.
I don't have synergy anymore, but I'am pretty sure his ISO defense was always decent. This year it might be worse, because he lost a bit of a step, but again, even if its average, it doesn't diminish other defensive aspects hes good at.
Yeah, his bbiq isn't high. I've been saying it in the past. Hes just 7'3 dude who's very mobile for his size and has a great jump-shots. Thats it. He uses his physical tools to be a presence defensively. And all his offense is just shooting over people. But again, thats enough in current NBA to be an impactful winning player.
He does not have a great jump shot!
Just curious, are you from Latvia?
