We raised our floor for sure.
But I agree I need to see an end game...and it can't be just stay patient and wait because the "star" just isn't going to fall out of the sky.
Also they have a concerning roster glut. We can say IQ and Obi are big pieces of the future but they are both plastered to the bench in 14 minute a night roles right now.
What are we doing with Fournier/Randle? Why did we trade for Cam Reddish?
Lot of questions remain
The plan is trading assets to build a contender. That's what I can make out of things. They clearly don't want to build through the draft at all. This has been the case for decades so...no real surprise there. Those of us who had hoped they would rebuild through the draft need to grasp this. I have. I don't like it though.
They have to move Randle and Evan or whatever for a top tier player for us to contend. Good luck with that. That's the plan.
So basically…there is no plan.

Cuz ain’t no one trading a star for Randle / Fournier
The plan sucks and is based entirely on treadmill until you're lucky to find a star that wants to play here. That's it. Plain and simple. I'm not saying they think they can get a star for just those two. It would take throwing in all of the picks and a young player or two with those guys. It isn't completely out of the realm of possible but...it is razor close!
IMO a better waste of time time is going as young as possible and aim for tank targets that can become the stars instead. Either plan could take years and not work honestly. I just like the tank path odds better. If they can get lucky doing it this way... I'll take it. I just can't see it right now.
Maybe Brunson can make a couple of the players we already have... better. I can't wait to see him play here.
