This is serious pressure now. If Mitch doesn't put this to a vote he will lose every Senate seat up for election
Even people who don't pay attention to politics are going to be mighty pissed if their checks and meds are held up

I believe you underestimate republicans and their capacity to not give a ****.
Republicans Rush to Finalize Convention (‘Apprentice’ Producers Are Helping)
Two producers of “The Apprentice,” where Mr. Trump rose to TV stardom, are involved in the planning. Sadoux Kim, a longtime deputy to the “Apprentice” creator Mark Burnett, is a lead consultant on the production. Mr. Kim once served as a Miss Universe judge when Mr. Trump owned the pageant. Chuck LaBella, a former NBC entertainment executive who helped produce “The Comedy Central Roast of Donald Trump,” is also on the payroll.

Sadly it won’t matter one bit. People are profoundly ignorant of how politics work, even those who are engaged. Remember all of Congress always gets the blame when the Senate blocks legislation. Remember the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act that the Democrats passed and Senate couldn’t even be bothered to bring up for a vote or put out their own legislation? Yeah silence on that from everyone, but hey Joe Biden said “you ain’t black!”
It doesn’t matter man. Republicans are willing to sacrifice their lives and the lives of their families to trigger the Libs. All those brain dead right leaning voters in places like Kentucky, South Carolina, Missouri, Georgia, Alabama and the rest of those red states that should be voting out these Senators are going to see the R next to the name and punch their death sentence. Oh and on the left we have people who shall remain nameless who will continue to complain Corporate/Centrist/Establishment Democrats don’t do anything for middle and low income people despite passing an overwhelming number of legislation and bills like this one for example. It’s all a tornado of stupidity, ignorance and bull.

I saw several posting in here that Pelosi is wack and "everybody knows it" so I said please explain why she is wack. Crickets. I don't know man, but if people were really that plugged in to history they would balance out their appropriation of historical references for the purposes of scalp hunting and self-aggrandizement with a healthy dose of acknowledgment that trying to work inside a system as convoluted as congressional politics is going to be a slog for any well-meaning politician whether you label them left, progressive or centrist. Personally, I think Pelosi has been a strong oppositional force to Trump and he's obviously quite intimidated by her. We're dealing with a system whose checks and balances are being hammered at by a criminal attorney general on behalf of a Mussolini cartoon and she's thrown down with them time and again. But all we hear is she's wack.

I didn't reply, because we were literally talking about how she was flaunting her 20 grand refrigerators and gourmet ice-cream in a middle of a pandemic. And her breaking her golden rule and not endorsing an incumbent in Markey, a Green New Deal backer, as she watches her home state burn.
