Also I dont understand why some act like Ujiri is Jerry West. Hes an ok Gm but he also gave out the Fields contracts and traded Bargs (who although not an all star is still decent) for Novak (who disappeared in the playoffs) and Camby (who is cap filler material). Hes made his share of bad moves.

Ujiri was just hired. He didn't sign Fields.

And Bargnani was traded for a 1st round pick, which is more valuable than Bargnani will ever be.

He's expiring and the need for PGs around the league is very low. He's not a playmaker -- just a good 3-ball and defender.

You are bidding against yourself to give up a young asset. He's just going to leave Toronto -- they can't get a 1st-rounder for him elsewhere. Why do it?

Because you need to pay a premium to get rid of the three years remaining on Felton's deal.

Felton is not overpaid...

Some of you guys are underrating Lowry some. He's better than Felton by a lot. This is the 2nd horrible season Felton has had in the last 3 years. Felton was never that good and now he's sliding.

This is a Kyle Lowry article published before the beginning of last year. I don't think he's changed much:

Kyle Lowry is going to improve the Toronto Raptors. A lot, I think. Lowry is a really, really good player. He's effectively the best point guard cover in the game -- no other point guard gets the defensive results that Lowry does, not even Rondo or Paul (both excellent defenders, but both lay off from time to time and take games off when they're feeling under the weather). Here's a comprehensive list of the point guards that have dropped 30 points with Lowry as their primary defender for > 15 minutes in the last three years.

John Wall (38 points, 59% shooting) on January 16th, 2012.
Russell Westbrook (33 points, 56% shooting) on November 6th, 2009. (Lowry only played 19 minutes.)
Tony Parker (31 points, 65% shooting) on April 1st, 2011.
Derrick Rose (30 points, 46% shooting) on December 4th, 2010.

Wouldn't trade Shump for him and definatly wouldn't trade a pick. They can have Felton or Beno and fillers (Chris Smith and Aldrich). No picks. Free Murry. That is all.

My prediction
Knicks get Lowry + trash(we will also keepm Felton) :(

Knicks out
Shump, THJR, Pablo, 2018 1st, 2019 2nd, 2020 1st

Seriously this guy has made his career raping the Knicks and he just keeps going back to this well. Dont trade with him seriously dont trade with this guy.
Also since we traded away our entire future Lowry is going to have all the leverage contract time and will seek and get 10+ a year from the Knicks crushing the cap.

Gambles a lot but solid. Not as good as his Houston days, but good nonetheless.

I'm honestly not trolling, but how the hell does NY pick up a call from Masai after he's destroyed the Knicks time and time again?

All the trades may have been over the top, but they have helped us out.
Melo is still our super-star
Bargs is decent, 2016 pick was too much

Haven't been destroyed that much

by the end of the year people will want him traded...

If Hardaway is traded, I'd have a real tough time being a Knicks fan..
My lifetime better have a Knicks championship.

If Masai really wants to dump him it'll probably be Felton, Shump and Metter.
