KCP>Hardaway

Yes but we suck, so we did an offer for Tim. If we are just patient 12 more hours we could did an offer for KCP ...

I could watch that. Everyone can hit from everywhere. We could be some sort of garbage Golden state!

Melo trailing for those threes will be crazy.

What's wrong with people in here? They're convincing themselves this is a good deal...

SVG is terrible at contract negotiations, but he keeps winning trades.

Yeah but will he have "won the trade" when he gives AB a 5-year $140MM contract or whatever he is going to get? He will then fit in well with all the other bad contracts they have... and the owners can pay $50MM a year in luxury tax for a 7th seed.

This transaction he won. That's all there is to it.

If your best argument is that this signing isn't as bad as the worst contract in the league then you have a poor argument.

Then you misunderstood the entire argument

I said this move is not a reason to praise PJax

That's it. I even said I'm NOT defending the signing. See bold.

No response?

Response to what?

For you to even make this post means you want to defend the move in some capacity.

KCP looked really good when he was fresh and there wasn't all the starter drama over Jackson...16.5 is still too high, but I'd love to see him in a different environment.

Fans still aren't used to the new cap. Seeing 17 million a year... I think many of you are comparing it to a near max contract from just a handful of seasons ago.

17 million a year is in the middle now. And I'm not mad. I'm surprised but not mad. Let's see what Timmy is made of now. Obviously he wants to return to NY and redeem himself.

How were you Hoodwinked. That would mean that you thought Mills was going to be great at his job

i thought he was gonna be smart enough to just hold the fort until the next guy was hired. steve never had to do anything. he could keep this job forever and just watch other people f*ck up. now he put himself on the clock with this move. this man don't even understand job preservation.

I don't like it but I'm not surprised -- GM's want to improve the team's talent and he obviously believes in THj more than many of us. GM's are going to want to put their stamp on things, even Steve apparently, and it's very hard to resist the temptation to "Go for it."

I saw it coming and that's why I wanted Phil to stay. That said, maybe Timmy becomes a really good third scorer type and then his contract is more than fine. He does have the offensive talent for a good or really good 3rd. Great 3rd scorer or good 2nd? I don't see it. But he has some tools. A range of good scoring tools.

I think Frank and Hernangomez could be in jeopardy too. Dolan's firing of Phil sent a clear message ... even if it's not a direct message: Don't keep losing, don't bring all that heat, turn it around.

Nah but it doesn't seem as bad after sleeping on it. Granted it was a restless sleep

We have a low opinion of him but he did do some eye-popping things late in the season. Everybody took note. He was having some pretty surprising scoring spurts.

Now, it didn't carry over into the playoffs much. A few moments but overall he played badly. HAD HE HAD A GOOD playoffs that continued his hot stretch, what would his number be??? I think you're looking at $22M plus  easily.
