The Heat is in a weird place. They basically have to offer Dragic a lot of money and I would imagine they will. At which point, it would require Dragic to really want NY. Miami was on Dragic's list of preferred places/teams (along with the Knicks) so that will hurt the Knicks chances. The other Dragic? I would imagine the same reason that he was traded with his brother is the same reason that he's not likely to be traded by the Heat if Goran resigns. Well not unless the Knicks overpay to trade for the lesser Dragic.
So...not likely on either would be my guess.
Anyone think we can pry Cousins off of Sac?
It would likely require the Knicks to minimally end up with the 1st or 2nd overall pick to do so. And probably would still need Cousins raise a stink and help force the Kings to trade him. Likely will cost the 1st overall AND Cousins to punch George Karl in the balls AND Cousins to say that he'd be a pest unless traded to NY if the Knicks also want the Kings to take Calderon.
So that's also probably unlikely.
As folks have said, realistic (FA signings) would be guys like Paul Milsap (would likely have to overpay a bit), Danny Green (since the Spurs are going to have to max out Kawhi Leonard), Tobias Harris (he really, really, REALLY and GENUINELY wants to play for the Knicks and you may actually be able to get him to sign for a little less than what he could get elsewhere), Kris Middleton (would probably have to scare the Bucks away with a larger than desired contract), Greg Monroe (the Pistons don't want him so it's a even playing field and his offensive skills are Triangle enabled), Reggie Jackson, etc.
Realistic trades if the Knicks were to look to trade their pick? That's a whole other discussion that probably 99.44% of this board doesn't want to go to cause they don't want Jackson to trade the pick. It would be worth a discussion IMO, but you'll just get a lot of static.
