Mikal was locked in. Thibs still made the correct call to roll with the hot hand, but I thought Mikal was super active and physical defensively.
100%. Cam was insane. The team looked alright overall. It will be tough once in a while if the Pistons hit everything for stretches. I am concerned about Brunson though. But we have many options, many counters, quite some depth and defensive ability. We can always go to the Mitch+Towns lineup so let’s hope the coach understands that.
Tom has got to find a way to get those two on the floor together more.
Also, at least for this series, having Cam and Brunson together can work...having two ball handlers on the floor makes a huge difference.
The practice time was good for this team overall, this is the sharpest they've looked in weeks. I thought Tom had them prepared and the game plan to lock Cade down and live with Tobias Harris carrying them was excellent. No complaints, even when Detroit took the lead I felt like the game was under control.
If Shamet or Deuce can't produce effectively at home again, I seriously consider playing Wright.
