Yeah, No. But I legit would not be surprised if he is trying to figure out how to flee the country. He's going to lose everything and go to prison and he probably has some bank salted away in multiple offshore accounts. There's only one problem with that: what country would be that effing stupid to take him in?

4% of the ballots remain outstanding for Georgia with a 18,500 gap remaining. Biden has more than a puncher’s chance at taking the state.

He’s gonna quit and Pence is going to pardon him for all the federal crimes that he committed.

A technical question, but doesn't he need to be charged with something before he can be pardoned? So, if the charges don't surface until after January, then no pardon?
No, Ford pardoned Nixon unconditionally, which Pence could do for Trump

The good news is, that only counts against federal charges, not state charges. SDNY has been chomping at the bit to get to him, and a pardon does nothing to stop them.

He was forced into I sanctions against Russia. So I guess after all Russia has done for him, he'd now rather try to escape Russian agents and flee to North Korea. Farewell.

Being in the WH has shielded him from so many accusations and lawsuits because the power of the presidency is so intimidating that most people will not choose to go after a president.

But Trump without the presidency becomes a very weak man with dwindling resources, few true allies with any clout and very little ability to exact revenge.

As president he could ruin your life. Now Trump will be impotent and the knives will come out of the shadows to carve this MF up. You've never seen karma in action like it will befall Trump after he leaves the WH.

The trail of lies and deceit, the enemies he's made, the women he has defiled, there are hundreds of people out there with incriminating evidence ready to dump on Trump when the time is right. The intelligence community can back up the truck and open the gates at any time. I don't think people appreciate how thoroughly screwed this man is, but he is doomed.

Man, I hope you right, but this man gained so many followers, people literally protesting vote count, because Trump was in a lead at a time. Iran's Ajatola news already laughing at this, GOP turned into what they alwyas looked down at, a pro fascist, rigged regime, its indefensible and unbelievable at this point.
I just hope all Trump's attempts to keep powere are legal, and you know, not something worse...

Alas, those who voted for Trump this cycle were completely OK with vote fraud, hence I don't think any of them were reachable anyway. They chose their bed and it isn't democracy

This race wasn't won or lost purely on policy

My point wasn’t built around any policy whatsoever. It was about democratic electoral strategies costing them votes with people of color; losing congressional seats and losing state legislative seats in a year with a historically unpopular president.

The mistakes I singled out were:
- Failures in outreach to people of color, specifying Latino voters since I watched that closely (also rachel bitcofer co-signed Chuck Rocha on this missed opportunity both before and after the election results started pouring in).

- No ground work, literally. Democrats across the spectrum of policy views were telling the Biden campaign that they needed to put canvassers out in battleground states.

- Refusing to pick a stance on key issues. Key here is I don’t think it much matters which direction he’d have gone on the policy; but by being unclear he allowed bad faith actors to fill in the blank and convince some voters not to break his way.

The idea that no voters for Trump were reachable is patently ridiculous to me, at least from the perspective of a person from a Spanish community that knows some trump voters. Chuck Rocha had a good interview with zerlina maxwell where he explained trump’s success in FL.

“Well we beat trump” isn’t enough when the Supreme Court is stacked and Mitch McConnell has a strong chance to continue deciding what legislation gets voted on. It’s not stopping the state legislatures that moved further right. None of that is policy based; it’s just a continuation of failures that we’ve seen at least throughout my lifetime. Way too many Dems only care about holding the executive branch and it shows throughout the judicial and legislative branch being dominated by conservatives.

Sam and Emma covered my frustrations better than I could possibly type it out and they did it in about 10 minutes to open the show. Skip to 3:25 and give that all of 10 or 15 minutes. This was a missed opportunity. Go back to the last thread and look at the confidence leading up to the election and then look at the results...There was no Comey letter, everyone was aware of Russian interference challenges, pollsters corrected for their missteps with Clinton; the Dems still managed to lose congressional seats, state seats, and enough toss-ups to make this a stressful process instead of a clear rejection of Trumpism.

They need to change their approach to winning elections point blank.

We got this
Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey said he is confident Joe Biden will win the state, and that ballots still being counted from Philadelphia alone may decide it for the former vice president.

Biden will “be able to overtake [Trump], especially when we get a much higher Philadelphia number,” Casey said to CNN’s Don Lemon. “We've only seen with Philadelphia about maybe 70 or so percent of the vote counted. A lot's going to come in this morning. And when that comes in, that alone, just in Philadelphia, might be enough to have the margin go in Joe Biden's direction.”
Casey said he predicts counties surrounding Philadelphia, including Montgomery, Bucks and Delaware, will also push Biden to a win.

The state as a whole has about 750,000 mail-in ballots to be counted, according to the secretary of state’s website, though this figure has not been updated recently.

Casey said that Biden could overtake former President Obama’s numbers from the city. “President Obama almost won Philadelphia by 500,000. Because the turnout is so much higher, Joe Biden might get to that, but he doesn’t necessarily have to,” he said.

Casey also said that he spoke with Biden after midnight on Wednesday morning and the former vice president was “very upbeat.”

The US is a failed state but not for the reasons you just stated. Those protests aren’t organic at all they’re all part of a Republican political operative hit job. If you follow right wing twitter it’s the same idiots always claim the voting rigged against Trump.

Read on Twitter

The US is a failed state because despite the fact that Joe Biden got way more votes than Trump, the fact that 60 million plus people who love facism are keeping it close. Plus they’re a rampant voter suppression and the Republicans have blocked every effort to make it easier and safer for people to vote in addition to every effort to make the vote counting easier and faster. This is all in an effort to keep the avatar of white supremacy in power

Yeah but at the end of the day, Biden won which they're gonna see as validation of neoliberalism

Then when nothing changes, they're gonna pin it all on the GOP Senate, which isn't gonna resonate as well as they think, and Republicans take over again after Joe's term while they run another bland moderate

Then it will be progressives fault again. Dems can't do introspection, which kills the idea of long term, slow change cause they can't consistently win elections.
