I can’t stand him. All he does is yell into the tv and scream. He’s a clown and one of the worst beat reporters on TV

Yea, he plays the part of an over the top stereotypical Knicks fan for attention and ends up making us look bad.

Starting to wonder how Josh Hart got that money to be a rebounder / sometimes defender and irrelevant in half court. Down mad heads and he refuse to be aggressive.

All the Nova guys have helped establish the identity we are seeing now. Like an infinity stone, everytime we add a Nova guy we seem to get better. Hard to put a price on that.

Hart is the glue of the team. He's a true connector.

He provides a lot on the court with the exception of shooting.

And he really reinforces the identity of the team. I think you take both him and Mitch out and the team loses its edge entirely.

agree with most of your statement, but I think the team now proved on more than one occation that Mitch can relatively easy be replaced. I don't have a problem with Hart not beeing a floor spacer. he does a lot of things well, like you've stated. At some point in the playoffs it is going to be a problem that you don't have spacing from the 4 and 5 in addition to him.

I don't think Mitch can "easily" be replaced. One could make the case that iHart should start and that's fine. But it will be extremely hard to find somebody who can provide the elite defense and rebounding that Mitch provides for a reasonable price. iHart is not going to play 48 minutes a game if you keep him.

Harteinstein is a quality center who we signed for a bargain contract. He's arguably the best back-up center in the whole league and would probably start for half the teams in the league. That's why we didn't see a significant drop-off from the center position when Mitch got hurt. They bring different qualities/weaknesses but they're pretty much on the same level. It's a nice luxury to have. They're both expandable in the right deal.

Hart is great for what he brings WHEN all the other team functions are properly filled.

He's an energy guy, tough elite guard rebounder, drives the ball.

He's NOT supposed to be a 3 pt sniper. He's not supposed be a full time starter but get starter minutes as a 2nd unity guy who bridges the first unit when there's and injury. A 6th man and a good one.

An injury, as in ONE injury, NOT THREE or FOUR (OG, Mitch, Randle, Grimes). He's 6'4" and double doubles. When we have competent fill ins elsewhere also he shines.

Good points, with the injuries everyone is out of place and has to play in different roles. For the most part pretty much everyone has stepped up and played well including Hart. Donte, Prescious, iHart, Deuce, Sims, even Brunson has been at another level.

It just caught up to us in this one.

But yea, in his normal role Hart fits in well and contributes. Everything fit in perfectly before the injuries. Just need to get everyone back.

We have a bunch of really good glue and connector players and Hart is one. They all play different roles and parts, and have different strengths and weakness’s.

Harts got a great motor, a one man fast break and is elite on the boards for his position. Moves the ball well, and is aways in constant motion. The shooting can really hurt though. It becomes more glaring with the injuries and games like this. He is much better as an energy guy off the bench that we can sub in and out as needed

Maybe the Brunchester Knicks can beat the Grizzlies. That's the only win I see left before the all star break

He's a bench player but as you know his numbers playing with the starters are extremely positive as well.

I agree that you can't rely entirely on him as late-game wing. If the game calls for more floor spacing, you need to be able play a better shooter ahead of him. At full strength, the Knicks can pick 2 of OG, DDV, Grimes to provide more shooting as needed.

I just wouldn't overreact to the last game and the next few because with Grimes and OG out. He's being asked to take on their role to some extent and we know his skill set isn't suited for that.

I just have my fingers crossed this team will be fully healthy at some point before the playoffs.

He reminds me of the dark days of Knicks journalism when all we had was SAS, Marc Berman and Frank Isola.

Now we have all these good quality podcasts from real fans. We dont need SAS screaming the worst takes to get the most clicks anymore.

disagree here. I am not saying Mitch is a bad player, don't get me wrong, but having a center who can pass the ball, make FTs while also provide similar rebounding and defense is a major upgrade. at some point you can't pay all players, so Mitch could go out in a bigger trade imo.

You can like Hart, at the end of the day passing up wide open threes to drive and kick ot shoot fades is a problem, and it became a problem against the Heat that all the glue guy hustle stuff couldn't make up for. This is the best offensive rebounding team in the NBA, just shoot the **** ball and live with the results, driving in to take a contested 2 after passing up an open three is just idiotic.

He was 2-6 from three last night and 3-10 from 2, I would have rather he finished the game 2-12 from three if it meant passing up on those dumb fades.

The solution is to GET a floor spacer to play WITH him. Not ask him to be what he isn't.

Then GET a floor spacer. We don't ask Deuce to guard Giannis. Or Mitch to bring the ball up.
