I agree it's a lot, and in excess of "fair". But Ingram is 23 and put up 24/6/4 last year on 46/39/85 shooting, so he's one of the bright young stars in the league.

He's good, but if the Pelicans wanted him why even wait to max him? Fox got his max, Tatum got his max. It seems for some reason the Pelicans constantly disrespect BI.

I'd want him on our team in a second, but I'm not trading the farm for him for one good season in a contract year.

NOP is probably waiting to see if someone makes him an offer - outside teams can only offer 4 years, the incumbent team can offer 5. If Ingram gets a max offer from someone else, NOP can just match it and save a year on their offer.

That's the point, if he is your guy why even lowball him, just give him the full max. Sixers didn't wait to max it Ben, Utah didn't wait to max Mitchell. You get my drift?

If he's your guy shouldn't you make him happy and give him what he rightfully deserved this season?

I think it'd just be pure business to try and be as lean as possible on salary (I was stunned at Swipa's extension, but I guess SAC has to do that). What's your offer to see if Griffin is willing to sell on him?

Trading into and out of and back into the consolidation of picks now looks suspicious too.

Leon Rose is not a basketball savant. He's a former agent who conned Dolan into believing that he would deliver where previous POBOs failed: bring stars to MSG thanks to his connections like Pelinka did in LA (except the Lakers have LeBron James to make roster decisions and we have Scott Perry).

The Knicks will not be patient with Mitch or RJ. They'll be gone if they struggle early. Leon Rose will not hold on to all those picks, unless they get the first pick in the draft (again, star power).
