He's good, but if the Pelicans wanted him why even wait to max him? Fox got his max, Tatum got his max. It seems for some reason the Pelicans constantly disrespect BI.

NOP is probably waiting to see if someone makes him an offer - outside teams can only offer 4 years, the incumbent team can offer 5. If Ingram gets a max offer from someone else, NOP can just match it and save a year on their offer.
That's the point, if he is your guy why even lowball him, just give him the full max. Sixers didn't wait to max it Ben, Utah didn't wait to max Mitchell. You get my drift?
If he's your guy shouldn't you make him happy and give him what he rightfully deserved this season?
