he's 5 years younger and not a midget. i think there's more room for growth but you never know really. when he has to create it's not great. the question is, i guess, if he all he becomes is like a poor man's klay is he still worth it. he does fit in nicely on the team.

Basically a Randle deal. That is a bit much based on his current production but just based on age and the development staff we have here it might be worth it.

FVV putting up 20/6/4 with all-nba defense on the Raptors and you didn't want to give him 25, but y'all want to give Gary Trent JR 20??

Gary is nice, but I don't see him moving the needle for us at all. Yeah he can shoot, but he also plays on a team with shooting at every position. How would he do here when he is our only plus shooter and the defense locks in on him. Plus his defense is definitely overrated. I'd much rather punt the capspace another year, then blow our load on some mid tier FA's.

I'm not sure that really is a given. Traditions start somewhere and this could then be theirs. Being old is no quality. Sure, many good things are old, but Trump was old but sht, too.

Not sure where I mentioned being old was a factor . It's not that the NETS are "new", its that they are comprised of three "Megastars" who teamed up for an easy path to the finals. They also have no connection to the NY fanbase because there's nothing NY about them, They aint about grit or perseverance. And to top it off, those 3 are among the most un likelable players....3 devas.

Hey I don't even disagree with your opinion, but they could gain momentum if they really turn into a success. That's just how it goes. I don't think these guys are winners, but it's ridiculous on my part, because they've been winning plentiful.

I would give him 20-25 million a year EASILY. I watched every blazers game since the start of the bubble. He has the potential to be one of the best shooters EVER. I am not kidding. he is starting to do more stuff of the dribble too. he would be my #1 target, no doubt.

he is not a mid tier FA. Just has the best backcourt in the league in front of him. but plays the 3 in crunch time anyway..
last year 41.8% from three and 41.7% in the playoffs.
this year 45.0% on almost 7 attempts per game. he is a flamethrower.

Agreed. For example Joe Harris in the same role signed for 4 years 75. That’s the range and in a down market. More teams have money, and there are less good FA this year. So to lock him up and keep away competition the price will likely be in the 80 range depending on how he looks in the playoffs.
