POWER RANKINGS as of 1/27

1. San Antonio Spurs (43-5) 0
2. Oklahoma City Thunder (39-11) +1
3. Charlotte Hornets (38-11) -1
4. Indiana Pacers (34-15) 0
5. Denver Nuggets (33-16) 0
6. Portland Trailblazers (31-19) +1
7. Dallas Mavericks (33-16) -1
8. Los Angeles Clippers (32-18) +2
9. Golden State Warriors (31-19) -1
10. Cleveland Cavaliers (30-20) -1

If you still ain't learn those star ratings aren't a measure of who's a better player you'll keep underachieving. The sim might play higher star ratings over better fits, but we're supposed to be smarter than that. I'm #2 in the league with multiple 3.5 stars leading my squad. Hypothetically someone benched Kyrie and KAT for CP3 and Allen you'd call it a tank but they'd win more games.

You not following the convo. What you're doing is intentional to win. Like how you studied Wiseman and other dudes for Moses Brown and Allen. This man just said he did not expect to win and he was suprised he had a hot start. And then benching Porter for Pat Williams after he started hot as a panic move to tank is too sus. You wasn't even here for this.

I got two finals appearances, one chip, one bubble chip. If that's considered an underchiever then i'll gladly accept that

I'm following. You're claiming he tanked by sitting players that weren't good fits for his roster. If you only claimed he built his team to tank and got lucky I'm sure he'd agree there.

If you only claimed he built his team to tank and got lucky I'm sure he'd agree there.

It's the same concept. A tank is a tank.

Meh. I like a challenge. MPH will be even better next year when Bane, Curry, and Jokic are all improved. This is the year to win if you don't want to watch the MPH 4peat happen. I'm all in now, after this year it's back to building for the future (that's why I got all these 5 year deals lol).

Yes but.... I should be better next year too :D

Brown, Gordon back, SGA going bananas, new pick, and I doubt they dock Gobert much.

I don't even get what the hell you're criticizing tbh. Explain in detail because IDK what the hell what I'm saying has to do with tanking teams. If you're a tanking squad and you're losing you're getting that higher seeding. Hell the lottery odds are flattened, **** don't make much sense to focus on. May the best loser win.

I'm talking about the way the current system punishes middle of the pack teams by giving them lower FA ratings than blatant tankers.

They already bumped up SGA and Brown isn't going up much. Gobert is probably going to tank because of his defensive rating and AG is probably going to be your 2nd best player. You'll still have no chance against MPH lol. This is it.

I am saying the real solution to the problem is taking away tanking teams first round draft picks, after a warning, because the ones who are really affected are the bad teams who lose draft positioning to better teams (due to lineup manipulation). What you are suggesting is also nice and should be implemented but should be more secondary imo

On my way out to a Christening and won't be home until later tonight. I clearly have my opinions on "tanking" and have voiced those opinions in the past. For anyone new I will once again give my opinion on this when I get home. Will also speak about a few other topics that have come up today, i.e. revamping free agency.

Can't get into it now but should be home this evening to give my opinion.
All-Time Draft

PG- Oscar Robertson/Bob Cousy
SG- Earl Monroe/James Harden/Dana Barros
SF- Billy Cunningham/Michael Finley/Chet Walker

He's talking preseason. SGA went from 3.5 to 5 stars with increases across the board.

He's just **** talking though. He knows Brown is tanked in the ratings.

-City location should tie into player happiness

-Playtime at respective positions should tie into whether you can sign a player or not
(For example if you have to many guards or centers at one positions it’s less likely a player signs with that team)

Y'all forgot he wasn't a 5 star originally? We made a whole big deal about how he was bumped to 5 stars and Kawhi was lowered from 5 to 3.5.

Again y'all are trying to solve tanking. I don't care about that. If anyone wants to be a loser, be a loser. I care about the way we punish teams for trying to win.

He's talking preseason. SGA went from 3.5 to 5 stars with increases across the board.

He's just **** talking though. He knows Brown is tanked in the ratings.

Y'all don't get it. Certain players are always overrated in the sim (Westbrook is an example). Certain players are always underrated in the sim (JB for example). JB's real life production is the worst it's been (relative to the league average) in 3 years. His ratings aren't going up because you think the people behind the sim will magically realize they've been underrating JB this whole time even though his numbers haven't improved like that. He'll be more efficient, worse defensively, and not that different from this year.

I know you think you'll get that bump next year but it really doesn't fit their MO.

But I’m an unintelligent GM and a tanker tho.
