As one Toronto sportscaster said yesterday, AB could easily put up 20 ppg next year...but that could be for NYK or Bologna in Italy.

We are a playoff team. The tim hardaway jrs of the world are not impacting enough to make us better. I think its a good pickup. My only complaint about the picks is we cannot sweeten another deal. We get a solid player to fill a need but hes not cut from the cloth of the type of player we need to take us further.

It isn't?
Bargs is a starter? They ended up having to bench him because of how bad Bargs was playing, and it wasn't like it's hard to play PF in Toronto, because Ed Davis flourished once Bargs got injured and he was forced to start.
We're a 2nd round at best team, that is stuck trying to compete with young and up-and-coming teams like Pacers, and the Heat. A trash player like Bargs isn't going to immediately make this team a contender, and it's a total pipe dream if you think he's dropping 20, or even 15, a game.
The picks are not meaningless. We have no idea how Denver or us will be in those years. It's not a crazy assumption that we're both bad. Also, those 2nd and 1st rounders give teams very valuable and cheap role players. The Knicks situation alone should be enough for you guys to understand how important draft picks are. Look at the Spurs, always a contender and never a big player in FA. They just plug in role players through the draft. Also, they're not just Tim Hardaway Jrs that can be found. There are plenty of starters that can be picked in the later rounds.
Bargs isn't a solid player. He's supposed to be going into his prime but the past two years he's regressed. He's supposed to fill Stoudemire's void at PF, yet he's constantly injured. He's supposed to be able to stretch the floor, yet last season he only shot 31% from 3.
How exactly does he help with this team's rebounding as well? By doing this the Knicks are making it that much easier for themselves to get dominated by a team like the Pacers in the boards.

We traded Novak and a 1st
And 2 2nd rounders, and cash.
2 2nd rounders was the difference for the Clippers to get a big time FA they wanted.

No, it wasn't. Having Eric Bledsoe was.

MIL wouldn't be accepting the trade if they didn't get anything in return. The 2nd rounders gave them something, so that made the difference and the deal was made. Bledsoe was the bigger piece obviously, but those 2 2nd rounders were crucial for satisfying the Bucks.
