I don't get that notion. Minnesota is off to the best start in decades and Towns has been playing much better. Why is it that Minny would be looking to trade him away or even dump him? Anyone care to explain?

It looks like a Zion & Pels split is inevitable... probably within the next 8 -20 months, I'd wager.
Randle, IQ, rights to Rokas, and several picks for Zion + Herb Jones is a deal that could be win-win.

So Zions production is equal to Randle and IQ.. In fact Randle is having a better season, and if IQ was starter he would be too.
So how is this a win win, and don't forget Zions absolute injury concerns and the fact that's he's done nothing special for NO..

It keep our center tandem. Kat loves playing outside. Let him shoot 3s at power foward
If they would take Randle and I would hate it but IQ and picks
Defensive anchor at center in place who is perfect for this team
KAT at Pf. outside shooter to replace IQ
Rj. SF
BRUNSON AND VINNY starting guards
We will be much more competitive. This lineup covers some of KATS defensive weaknesses
Our center tandem remains a strength
KAT should not play center for anyone. He is playing the wrong position

Brunson
Grimes
Barrett
Zion
Kat
Hell, if we go full-Besart, we can replace Grimes with Mitchell, too.

The money would probably be the reason, next year the extensions on KAT, Ant and McDaniels all kick in.
They're going to have around $166 million tied up in Kat, Ant, Rudy, Naz and Jaden next year while Conley and Slowmo are going to be free agents in the summer.

plus they are winning rn, so I dont think they would have any interest in changing the chemistry
go get lavine or spida
