there are also only so many levers you can pull.
The roster is pretty much the roster...so the FO clearly believed in roster...doesn't mean all needed to be sorted out in year 1.
Macri said as much, we can make some moves on the margins in the offseason maybe one or two to give us more depth...but barring a complete overhaul of the roster which I don't expect after 1 season with this group.
The one avenue to look at is the coach getting the most out of the group. A lot of underlying metrics on both sides of the ball suggest we aren't. That doesn't mean Thibs is a bad coach...our roster may just have outgrown him.
The core needs to be overhauled. It blows.
Thibs can go too.

I know your being a buzz kill but the "core" of the team doesn't blow. We are still on pace to finish with a top 5 record. After these moves I don't think anyone thought we leapfrogged BOS and OKC. Now it doesn't feel good to be uncompetitive in those games. But blowing up a core you just put together that will put together one of the best regular seasons in franchise history is pre-mature.

Ok. It's awesome. It's like that bogus Melo team that made the playoffs that everyone salivated over but you knew were going absolutely nowhere. It's the younger version of that. So, 4 more years of that will be fun.

They're still a work in progress. The new CBA makes things tricky but we are at least set up for a good 4-5 year run with this group. Nothing close to the 1 year Melo team with being the oldest team in the NBA.
If you take a step back and look at what we have watched for the last 20 or so years...you will appreciate it more that we are now in a position that we are actually upset when we lose. We can also get better...not just with the roster but with exploring if the coach has capped out improving this roster. The playoffs will tell a lot.

We'll definitely need to rely on internal development. Guys like Huk and Dadiet will need to pan.
I would have it as ECF or bust with Thibs.

Bounced in the 2nd round 4 times, at best, = run

We need the update on those astroid odds, homie.
Data from Nasa reveals it is now 0.0017%.

Weak in the ass Mikal gets sealed off by KP without any problems waiting for the lob. KAT now has to decide does he go help or does he stay up so he’s in no man’s land. Tatum attacks off the screen and gets KAT back pedaling and KAT provides zero resistance at the rim for an easy layup and that is with OG trying his best to still help and contest.
Layups and dunks. No matter the scheme, KAT is still targeted

Right and we lost iHart for nothing and Mitch hasn't played.
This is why we need to look at the team with Mitch very closely when he comes back. Not that he's some panacea that fixes everything (so nobody respond with that kind of dumb **** post) but he's a different _type_ of player that can cover for some of KAT/JB's deficiencies. A proper rim protector. We can evaluate if that type of player or maybe Mitch himself helps us compete or if we're still substantially deficient. Likewise, it gives us a proper look at Thibs with these offensive weapons and a drop coverage big.
We also should have given Huk some run to that effect. The C's were abusing us on the glass.
