I got Randle as the 3rd or 4th best true power forward in the East but the lack of respect he gets is crazy to me! I was looking at some of the position rankings... and he's not mentioned  :nonono:  :nonono:

How do you average 20 & 8 and not be considered a top PF even if you played 0 defense. And nothing against Sabonis or Isaac but I don't have them above Randle.

Randle looks fat.....
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

I believe the answer is no but haven't gone through all the combos. They sort of each do what the other doesn't.

OJ & Mo-Ro.

They are basicay LJ and Camby, but Randle is closer to prime LJ than the 99 LJ.

Not a bad parallel.

I wish Randle defended like LJ. That was what made him so valuable, even with his back issues.

Prior to coming to the Knicks, LJ wasn't considered a good defender either, but i think Van Gundy may have helped him improve in that area when he got to the Knicks. Hopefully they will link Randle up with LJ to give him some tips on how to get better on d too.

Is that photoshopped or Randle's real body?

Good question! I almost think it's his while flexing and purposely tightening his stomach...

I think the noise is going to propel this group to play over their heads in a major way. Lotta individual subplots going on that’ll either serve to motivate and bond this group or break everything from the top down apart. But that’s part of the noise. This mix of players, the volatility...I believe it’s completely deliberate. And if we are healthy it’s going to surprise. The team temperament is as close to those 90’s NY Knick teams as any team since. We sucker free again.

It’s squarely on the front office now.
The development and the coaching.
This team was built FROM SCRATCH.
They did that. Aggressively too.
If it wasn’t KD and a buddy, this was exactly the plan, I believe. Not a Tobias Harris or a Jimmy Butler or a Kemba win the nuthin-azz-papers, fake blockbuster move.

Randle is a centerpiece.
THE centerpiece actually, along with RJ, Mitch, Kev and likely DSJ and Iggy as a core.

Dude’s a huge get y’all. He’s gonna be a star here.
He’s primed to go from good young player to all star, health willing; gotta turn the production into winning but he’s built for it (too).

Early in the process I wasn’t high on him because of what I thought he’d cost in terms of years and cmon now, we thought KD was coming. But all that aside, the frigging guy was 20-10-4. And with his age, story and style of play slots perfectly as the starting power forward for this next iteration of Knick ball.

Randle-Morris-Portis-Payton whom we were linked to early and shooters with the yoots.

We didn’t “back into” anything except Morris who we really figured we’d just take an L on. So we actually got lucky for once (they don’t hear me doe).
We had targets, and since everybody tampered this year so we kinda knew what guys would cost lol. It wasn’t plan A but I really feel it was plan B+ (again, Morris).

We got who we wanted. It’s only right to expect results. I’m not entirely sure what “results” looks like for this group. We need very evident progress tho.

I’m optimistic.

This is why I said this weekend that DSJr becoming a threat from three is such a big deal. It is not just about having other spacers on the wing.

It is also about Dennis drawing his defender out to the perimeter so he can blow past them and draw another defender on his way into the paint.

This will open up the feeds for our rim runners as long as Smith makes the right read on his drive and delivers the lob.

I can see RJ participating in those plays both as the feeder and as the roller.

I’ll be surprised if Fiz can figure this out. His nuts and bolts aren’t really there.

Sure he can. Fiz ran plays, but we weren’t very talented.

Randle plays like a big SF. Hit some 3s last year. Knox and him ultimately not huge worlds apart in terms of game type. Randle can finish inside. Knox can get there.

New Orleans offense inflates offensive numbers. They played a fast pace offense giving up a lot of points and scoring a lot. Even Rondo was putting up some numbers there. I am doubtful Randle can average 20+ points in New York.
