Fizdale said they want to give him a defined role, a rim running and defense big like Capela. However, his personal training is more along the lines of trying to turn him into the next AD. They had him doing ball handling and such offensive drills. It's clear that whoever is charting his development in his circle envisions, eventually, a bigger role for him offensively.
This is not necessarily bad. It just requires some communication between team and his people about his development. You could just let him work on a base of being a rim running, elite defense big which will get him NBA playing time. Then with that basis he can expand his offensive role as his skills develop.
It does sound like this is what is going on, as they have a long established relationship with his agent. But I don't know if the agent is the one charting his development in his circle.
First off this a bunch of nothing. Mike Schmitz can sit his ass down to. There is nothing wrong with how he trained this year. This the new NBA.
Even Fiz said at the conference. We will give him Cappella role, And EXPAND his offense from there. Even Fiz will Expand him.
There is nothing to complain about here. Dude is not trying to be AD, because he can Handle and has Range. Honestly he is ahead of the curve ,BECAUSE he can DO those things. THIS IS THE NEW NBA. Honestly I bet Cappella wishes he could handle and and have range. Why? it would make him better.
