A Zion and KAT front court would be a disaster defensively. Then you add Brunson and poor OG would end up snapping on the whole team in preseason before we even get to the regular season
Who says KAT still on this team?

But jokes aside, Zion's D improved in his limited 24/25 season. KAT's issue on D is IQ. I don't see IQ as an issue with Zion. I just bring him up because he played point forward more so this year than last. I'd have to ask NO fans, but I think the common consensus is he showed promise.
214 games played in 6 seasons is not someone that we can depend on. For all his defensive flaws, KAT has shown he can help carry a team and carry responsibility. Zion has only been part timing and his weight issues are still present. That’s not someone we should be depending on. Not only to stay healthy but to provide more impact offensively and defensively than KAT game in game out. I don’t think Zion can handle that. He’s like Porzingis at this point, you can add him to a team with depth already and then whatever you can from him can maybe put you over the top but he’s not a guy you gut the team for and then rely on game in game out.
He (Zion) very clearly needs a change of scenery and better medical staff and them "shutting" him down had everything to do with the draft. The injury itself wasn't something that weight or conditioning could resolve (back bruise). Hard falls are rough if you land on the wrong spot. The hamstring is another issue, but hey, we got OG right now and no body would have guessed OG would play over 70 games. I can't help but wonder what the Knicks medical can do for Zion.
Now, I'm not advocating to gut the team for Zion, but he's not exactly making a ton of money, either. If the right deal came along, I'd consider it.
