How so? All the Rockets need to do is add a top star in a couple years, and they're contenders. Everything else seems to be in place right now.

Great deal for Lin. He doesn't have to be the face of the franchise. On the floor, he is not gonna have the pressure he would have being the lone ball handler. No more 1-11, 8 turnover games for him.

I'd say he was worth every penny. Wow.

Not a bad game by Lin either.

12 Pts 8 Asst 4 Reb 4 Stl 4 To

Would have done better if it wasn't for almost fouling out and sitting the 3rd quarter.

But the most important stat....Houston was down 10 points with Lin on the bench. Lin came back in, they cut the the lead and win....just like his time here with the Knicks. He was +23 tonight. :o

Rockets bench is trash though.

Damn 80 mil for 1 game, against the Pistons nonetheless…. Must be nice

Worth any penny. He will replace joe Johnson as the best 2nd tier sag in the league. Could easily be a 25 point, 6 assist, 5 rebound guy.

How small is the top tier? There isn't a single two guard I'd take over him not named Kobe or Wade and at this point I think I'd take him over a likely declining Wade. That condensed season, olympic summer, and offseason surgery isn't going to make him better.

People really underestimate Harden's athleticism. He may look a little chunky but he has a great first step and he uses his strength really well.

Kobe and wade is the top tier. Joe Johnson was 3 rd best but he isn't even in the conversation with those 2. I can see harden being somewhere in between wade and Johnson.

I saw the game yesterday and Harden looked way better than I thought it was. I thought he was a Monta Ellis/Kevin Martin type scorer, but he may be a lot better overall player than those two guys. He looked like a young Dwayne Wade yesterday and the fact that the Rockets spread the court well it opens the lane for penetration by Lin or Harden w/ their C coming out occassionally to run the pick-and-roll.

Great game by Harden, but saying he's worth every penny after one game is a BIG stretch. Let's see what he can do for the entire season, and lets see how his production is for a few seasons in a row.

The Rockets have a chance to be a good WC team, imo, with another star in the fold at the foward position, and if Lin can get his jumpshot (and ball control/turnovers) working they may be pretty decent now. Maybe one of their rookie Fs can develop.

I hate Morey so I'm personally hoping they suck.

Harden was okcs 2nd best player you numbnuts. The guy is as a dynamic of a player you can find in this league. He's basicslly Manu Ginobili but with more potential

Sure, you take harden over Kobe long term but if I needed to win one game I'm taking Kobe over anybody. He would never pull the **** Lebron did in the finals with the cramps. He is a warrior and a unique competitor on the level of Jordan and jeter.

Also, Kevin Durante and Russell Westbrook are both better than James harden, and they both play for okc, which would make harden the 3rd best player on that team. Although you can make an argument for ibaka.

People laughing now but remember how Lin looked until defenses zoned in on him. Last night Harden was in a zone, sort of like when a player goes for 50pts and wakes up the league.

Once defenders zone in on Harden, let's see what his FG% becomes and his scoring.
