Jesus Christ...I'm simply showing someone who said RIP Star Wars facts that no...it's not dead. You mentioned how Jumanji won this weekend for some reason, so i was pointing out that the movie that beat SW this weekend still made 700m dollars less worldwide. Facts. And there you go saying SW movies are going to make 1b on name alone...so if that's true, how can it be RIP??

How on earth can a movie that will be a top 5 grosser of all time be a bomb? Again...if you didn't like the movie, more power to you. I could care less. That's your opinion. But to say it's a bomb is just factually incorrect and it sounds like you want it to be considered a bomb because you didn't like it.

Disney recovering losses...LOL. They've already recouped their ENTIRE investment into Lucasfilm in large part because of this movie. Stop with your nonsense. Facts are hard to deny.

I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. All throughout his interviews he said he was taken aback by the portrayal of Luke but also said he loved the movie, loved working with RJ, etc. Sure, could he be lying, yes anything is possible, but Hammil has always been known to say whatever he wants and doesn't seem like a guy who would tell a bald face lie. I doubt Disney execs put a gun to his head. This whole thing is so stupid. I honestly think this thread sucks and people can agree to disagree. Here is hoping the Episode IX thread isn't as terrible as this one.

It is backtracking. He meant what he said the first time. He just did not think his critique would create such backlash. He is throwing the movie under the bus by that, and that was not his intent, so now he has to clean it up...he was keeping it real how he did not like the direction of his character. he 100% meant that. He never voiced it was a great movie the first time.
