I think its just posturing, big time players don't have injury related clauses in there contracts and the Knicks may want some protection but they aren't going to get it. They really aren't negotiation from a position of strength...if don't resign OG they aren't a top 4 team in the conference and they don't have a way to replace his production.
The Knicks will MAX him if they have to, but I'm skeptical that they will have to.
Agreed on both parts...I just don't think they are going to get injury stipulation (games played) incentives in his contract. Agents of a bigger name player isn't going to put his player in a situation to try to rush back from an injury to hit games played clauses to unlock certain incentives. OG is a big enough FA with enough suitors where he won't have to sign that type of contract.
I think it will be a big deal (not the max) but I think it gets done its just the agent pushing back to remove those injury incentives out of his contract because a team trying to steal him wont be able to put that in either.
