If mose is smart he's telling fultz to rest that knee for a little while longer until he's 100% so we can get more of a sample size of ab in the starting line up

I just dont see the reason in us starting Fultz, when Black provides what he does, & then some and its pretty clear that Fultz is not going to be here after this season
We might as well start prepping Black in the starting role, giving him more opportunity to develop and for us to evaluate the fit of him in the starting lineup

Ideally we shouldn’t have needed injuries to try some different lineups out early in the season either, but here we are and we’ve got guys who have stepped up the occasion. We need to keep those pathways open to the guys we’ve got.

Or you know... he can hire some Magic poster who will accidentally "trip" him up and so would need another further 10 game evaluation and AB starting spot can take longer

We can definitely use Fultz off the bench! He could help get JI's offense going and Cole Anthony could play more off ball!

There are small changes we can make right now, or a bigger one once we find out who is here to stay or not. But we're seeing a lot of guys contributing in their roles.

Where did you hear that the Magic have any interest in signing Fultz to a deal?

Guys, Welt is playing the long game. Eventually, Fultz, Isaac, WCJ will play 70 games in a season. It just won’t be this year or next. Most likely 2028. He doesn’t hand out multi-year contracts for nothing.

My judgement of the FO does not come from the current situation, but from the entire 6 years of "work"

Re: I've seen enough, bench fultz start black
yes, as an expiring player he does have a value as a salary relief.Skybox wrote:fendilim wrote:
Also, who would want Fultz? I mean does he even have value?
Expiring deals have value, packaged with picks or other players for sure. If, say POR, recognized that Scoot & Sharpe is their future backcourt and didn't want to keep Simons as a $25m backup, they could trade for an expiring Fultz & a rookie scale guy, etc and let Fultz expire.
This is what I have asked many many times and never even got speculative answers...only "You're a hater", etc.
Fultz hits the open market...who's calling and offering a starting spot?
Another way to look at it...IF Fultz was on another team, would people in ORL even be thinking about him or his potential fit in ORL.
NO
But as a player?

Re: I've seen enough, bench fultz start black
I wonder what missing Fultz does to to our betting lines. There's some noise in there right now with Harris, WCJ, and JI also having issues. I want to say the Lakers were 3 point favorites at home and 3 point favorites on the road, home court is worth 2.5-3 points...so that would suggest the MF/GH/WCJ trio was worth 6 points to Vegas.
Of course we trounced LA, but they are having injuries issues too, GabeVincent, Vanderbilt, Rui.

... and maybe get Franz playing more time with the starters and less with the bench, Fultz would be better off the bench, and that would also let him know where his salary should be

This and he attempts them.
Seems like Black has made and attempted more threes in two games then Fulton has in a season no?

Re: I've seen enough, bench fultz start black
Fultz would not help us against Dallas he would make things even worse. We wont win many games making 8 threes a game. Black was solid defensively and made his 3s. Everyone else missed shots, Suggs and Banchero couldnt handle the ball. I dont know if Black is the answer but we know already that Fultz is not.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !
