I think the double standards are obvious in that regard. If Mario had that weakness, it would be said that he's a rookie and he needs to develop more and he's not ready.
With Fournier, they still use the argument that he's young and developing, too, but when you point out what he needs to work on they come up with a litany of excuses as to why he's beyond developing that part of his game.
A lot of posters want to appear impartial and all about the wins but really they're just pushing another agenda, which seems to be "don't question anything. We're obviously doing everything just right because look at our record!"
You mean factual evidence pointing to why he shouldn't pass to less efficient scorers just to appease a group of fans that want to see a pass? Sorry, I'd rather have one of our better, more efficient scorers taking shots. That wins us games not passing out for a less efficient/worse shot. I cant believe people actually want that.
Oh yeah? So you want to see a Dedmon/Nicholson/AG/Fournier/Dipo lineup then? Because that's our most efficient shooting team. So Nicholson should be our starting PF and Vuc should come off the bench, right? Vuc should only have 15mpg, because he's only 9th on the team in efficiency - behind Hezonja.
Jason Smith and Vucevic wouldn't see a long 2 all game long since we've got plenty of guys shooting 3's at a higher clip than they hit those long 2's.
But I'm sure you'll have an excuse for why you want to shift the criteria from efficiency to some other reason to justify not actually pursuing the most efficient scorers we've got with these "cold hard facts" on the table...
Nope, you need to be looking at top eFG%, not top TS% since that includes free throw % and the discussion is about in-play shooters:
