I'm in the latter camp. At least his current play.

Yeah, its a little bipolar. Let's pick someone else to obsess with for a week or two. October will get here eventually. :D

I think he is a guy that needs the ball in his hand which is why he took such a big step back this year. Butler and him are too similar. I would LOVE him on the Magic. I'd trade Evan in a heartbeat for him, but I doubt the Wolves would do that.

Yeah the Wolves are going to hang up the phone on that one. Fournier is a decent player but plays the same spot as Butler so he would be more of a backup and I doubt they would view him as an ideal replacement if Butler leaves. Vu is more of backup who doesn't fit todays game and Thibs wouldn't be to keen on him. They are not trading Wiggins for that much less would they be willing to throw in a first. Also why in the world would anyone think they are moving on from Towns. No they are not. That is ridiculous. If they move anyone it would be Butler as he is a free agent next summer and they could lose him for nothing, but I think they like their chances of resigning him so I don't they trade him.

I don’t think its too crazy. They might want to get out of his ridiculous contract. His contract right now is almost untradable.

I don’t know where you got “moving away from towns” I didn’t mention towns once in my post.

His contract is untradable.

It makes no sense to trade a guy like Fournier with a very good contract for Wiggins when Fournier is a far better shooter and more efficient player. I think he is actually better at defense too, which is insane, but Evan works harder.

The reason people keep saying to trade for Wiggins is “lets take a chance” on him becoming a star here. Taking a chance on a guy on a max contract who is not a star is what bad GM’s do. You take chances on guys on rookie deals, not guys on max contracts who regressed.

It’s just not worth losing cap space to take a chance on a guy who may never pan out.

Uh Butler is both a SG and SF. He gets plenty of minutes at SG to also all him a SG. But that is not my point. My point there was that Minnesota is not doing that deal and probably hangs up as soon as they hear it.

Didn't say you did. That was more for the original post that talked about it but didn't want to quote another post and I was more saying that I agree with you and was simply adding my arguments to yours. While Wiggins does have a bigger deal it isn't that huge and he is still young and is a good player. Evan and Vuc also having just as big of deals that we really want to jettison and I have to ask people to ask themselves why they want to trade them so bad and include that in the argument for why the other team wouldn't be to keen on taking. I just think that proposed trades on here ask for way too much in return for what we are giving out.

actually if somebody within that organisation understands basketball they would take that deal in heartbeat since Wiggins is one of worst max contracts in whole league . But i hope Magic have people with average IQ to never entertain trade for Wiggins.
