Absolutely not.

What would need to be added?

Jaylen Brown or Tatum. Hayward's contract is atrocious and GHs production is trending down while AG is trending up and is likely still 3 years away from his prime.

So which wing would you trade AG for?

Hayward or Barnes all day. Prefer Hayward.

Fultz
Reddish
Hayward/Barnes
Isaac
Bamba

What about straight up? AG for a wing?

I would prefer Tatum for spacing concerns.

Boston 100% is NOT putting Brown or Tatum in any deal for Aaron Gordon. They love both of those guys.

Just off the top of my head, any sort of deal with Boston would be something like...

Gordon and Augustin for Hayward and a 1st round pick.
Gordon and Mozgov for Hayward, salary fillers and a 1st round pick.

Gordon and Augustin for Hayward and Kings 1st?

Gordon and Augustin for Hayward and Kings 1st?

I don't even know if I would do that, but the framework would have to be along those lines, yes.

The Magic could probably get someone younger than 29 year old Hayward.

I still don't understand the obsession for moving AG in a lateral move.

A lot of people are not convinced Gordon/Isaac will provide enough shooting to really work long-term.

The cap for 2019/2020 is projected to be $109 million, Orlando's payroll will be at around $87 million plus a couple of millions for the draft picks: https://www.basketball-reference.com/contracts/ORL.html

Based on that I'd say trying to resign both Vucevic and Ross using Bird rights is the best way forward because the cap situation will not allow us to sign comparable FA replacements for both of them. The alternative would be to let both of them walk and to try to dump salary to gain more budget for FA signings, for example Augustine's $7.25 million if we think that Fultz can start.

Right or wrong, the Magic have backed themselves into a corner where they have to aggressively attempt to resign Vucevic and Ross this summer.

They don't really have any other choice. Especially if they end up making the playoffs this year, it would be really difficult (EVEN IF THEY SHOULD CONSIDER LETTING THEM WALK) to justify letting your best player and third/fourth best player walk away for nothing.

As of now, I think the ultimate ceiling of this team is going to come down to how good Fultz and Isaac become.

Weltman has said he was really close to blowing up TOR's perennial playoff team. He does not think at all in terms of a playoffs team being the goal. It's a much higher goal.. like elite contender.

I think AG and Mo could become cornerstone pieces as well. Also, I think Briscoe, Ross and Birch will end up solid role players on a deep playoff Magic team in 2-3 years. If these young kids keep developing, they could become dangerous and none of them are close to their ceilings yet.

The Magic are very likely going to win somewhere between 10-15 games more than they did last year.

Even if their ultimate ceiling isn't elite contender level, the case can easily be made that things are trending upward.

If Weltman/Hammond truly believe that Fultz can return to his draft form, then you are basically adding a top 3 caliber lotto pick to a 35-40 win roster.

Combine that with what appears to be rapid development from Isaac and hopefully the same from Bamba and who knows how much higher the ceiling actually becomes.

Is total rebuild on the table? Aaron Gordon for Domantas Sabonis then let Vuc leave using Sabonis in his place and slide Isaac into Gordon’s spot and use the $30 Million in cap space to help other teams dump contracts by giving Orlando assets?
