Oh man, cannot wait for Monday's game. I'm a Fultz Fan.

Between this game and my #20 ranked Texas Longhorns playing #10 ranked Baylor on Monday too, I am going to be watching sports allll night long.

Put it in the books. Donovan traded to Orlando for 2022-2023 season.

He is coming back from serious injury, he wont be full power this year or even next one. I will keep my expectations low.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

I’m thrilled that Markelle is back. I’ve had enough of Cole Anthony running the show just for him to call his own number. Markelle’s offense probably won’t be all there, I expect we’ll see him scoring the ball like he’s capable next year. What I’m excited about is what Markelle can do for the other 4 on the court with him. His play making and set ups should do wonders for guys like Wagner, and Suggs offense. I have a feeling Wendell Carters going to love him. Despite his shooting issues, Fultz does so much right out there that doesn’t involve his own shot. Hell, Cole probably gets better playing with him.

I wish him the best. The kid has been through the ringer and before he went down with the ACL was showing real progress. I'm glad he's getting some run time this year, but his shot has to show some progress. As great as he is in the paint, it's going to be hard to commit serious $$$ and minutes to him if he isn't a threat to shoot.

How do they disperse the minutes? Is Gary Harris getting squeezed out? Is RJ Hampton?

You have five guards - Fultz, Anthony, Suggs, Hampton and Harris - all looking for minutes at the point and shooting guard positions.

It won't be an issue if Suggs keeps fouling out in 14 mins.

Fultz was never a high assist guy. he was always a scoring PG. so i dont expect him to be CP3 all of a sudden

Tide, that’s a fair critique. I don’t expect a CP3 either. Perhaps I painted too rosy a picture. I do see a ton of potential to be the kind of point guard to make very timely pass plays and to get the offense flowing smoother. I think his ability to do that far exceeds anyone else on the roster currently, and I think that will sprout more improvements from the rest of the roster.

All Magic "Point guards " are more of scorers than playmakers. It just turns to be that they aren't all that gifted as scorers in nba either.
Fultz probably looked more natural playmaker than Suggs & Cole because he spent most of his time playing on competitive team with actual nba talents around him. That is not situation where he is returning now.

This year playing time distribution probably won't matter since Fultz is comming from injury and won't play more than 15 games or so and won't play more than 20 mpg. Next year it will be interesting situation to see who is starting PG & SG on Orlando, especially after free agency and draft.

I feel like the mystique of Fultz has grown overly large again. I also could just be spending too much time on twitter.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to have him back in the rotation again, but I’m pretty convinced of what he is at this point and I’m not sure that player is a starting point guard in this league longterm, much less the All-star that some seem to think he’s still destined to become.

I'm wearing my 1" thick homer glasses so i believe he's an average starter in our league where he left off but with the potential to become an all-star. I feel that he played conservative under Cliff but should be allowed to play more loose and uptempo now which he thrives in. Plus I'm tired of watching Cole play so selfish at times so any change is welcomed.

Was watching some game highlights of Fultz pre-ACL injury and it's weird how the form of his jump shot seems to have regressed again based upon the recent shootaround footage we've seen.

He does become our best PG immediately, which is why people are excited, but that in itself is not a good place to be.

Its very obvious that Fultz prefers to make plays for others and only attacks when he sees a clear opening or nothing else is developing. He probably was a true scorer in college, but I didn't watch him then. In NBA he plays more like a lesser version of Ben Simmons...just more likely to take jumpers (and miss them).
