I think the starters are capable of making a run, but there's no way that bench unit would be able to keep it going.

The fact that we're dead last in offensive rebounding is sad. Not many teams even play a real center big minutes anymore, and we play Vuc 30 minutes every night. On top of that, there was a time when he was one of the NBA's premiere players on putbacks. I remember calling him the best tipper inner I had seen since Ilgauskas. This year he's averaging .9 offensive rebounds per game and a career low 7.5 overall.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

That’s a really good comparison! Would of been nice to sign him if we missed on Simmons.

Yeah I wanted him since last season. Jack-of-all-trades type, including defense, and no offense but you don't see too many white swingmen that are good defenders.

Our starters are still playing almost even with theirs, but our bench got destroyed.. but we have to get Fournier going and keep going to AG/Ross if they're hot.

And also play defense..

Why were we worried about Myles Turner's gait when Vuc looks like he's galloping when he's sprinting?

I've tried to stay away from disliking Vuc. Our perimeter defense sucks so that does not do him any favors (pun intended), but he offers absolutely no resistance at the rim. Hell he doesn't even take charges which would be the other thing he could do if he cannot be a shot blocker. His defense is totally reliant on whether his offense is going or not and I hate players like that. Good for him that he loves the beautiful city of Orlando but I think it is time for us to part ways and cash in while he still has value.

One pick away from Porzingis :'(

That's still one argument I'm not letting go. WINNING GAMES AT THE END OF TANKING SEASONS IS STUPID. There is no "losing stink" that transfers. You know what transfers? Actual talent.

Why did Vogel put Payton on the court, when he hardly ran a single play from the moment he came back in? Fournier, Ross and Gordon ran more plays, and Payton was just standing on an island on the perimeter.

We gotta get the others moving off the ball and Payton finding them.

We were one pick away from Embiid as well. How fitting would that have been to have another dominating center in Orlando again...

He got Ross going on a few passes, but yeah I agree. I mean.. I'm not even worried about our offense right now, we're getting okay looks but it's still not great. It's hard when we're taking the ball out of the rim every possession and then just running curls for Fournier or Ross every time down.

We have to clamp down on defense or it's going to be over quickly.

The reality is, no matter who you are, drivers are going to get into the paint sometimes and it's going to be a shot attempt against the big man help. Doesn't it seem like it's extremely easy for the driver to score on Vuc in that situation? If Vuc steps too far up, he's way too slow footed and they just blow by him. If he stays back, they just scoop it up under him as soon as he rises to challenge. It shouldn't be that easy when you sit back and wait to challenge at the basket, but it ends up being that easy every time. It's confusing sometimes how easy it is for players to score on him right at the rim. Even with minimal effort, he's a large man.

I'm at this game right behind the Jazz bench. This performance is 100% lack of effort. Defense is a turnstile and offense is just standing around. Feel like they are stealing my money.

You guys need to let that memory go!

How do you think the Lakers and Sixers feel when they passed up on KP in 2015?

Vuc can score (not on an all-star level, but he can score), but he can't guard pick and roll. Biz is mobile enough to guard pick and roll, but his lack of height matters sometimes and offensively he's a liability. I'm starting to think that just a mediocre big man who can guard pick and roll decently, get a couple offensive boards, and finish shots at the rim would be a decent fit.

God I don't know. I'm just mad and tired of seeing open layups and dunks.
