I like both deals, but I wouldn't take Hedo out of the starting lineup. I'd bring Haslem off the bench and play him quasi-starter minutes.
Nelson/Dooling
Miller/Evans
Hedo/Cook (not that he would play much if Haslem shows)
Shard/Haslem
Dwight/Foyle

There is nothing traditional about a 6'10'' SG. I just don't think it would be wise to tinker with Hedo right now. There is no telling what sending him to the bench would do. Him not knowing his role while Hill was around was one of the main reasons he was inconsistant IMO.

I'm sure whoever Otis is targeting, it is probably a young PF who can grow with the team. Personally I would rather see Bogans, Garrity, Arroyo and a future pick traded away for Haslem or Wilcox. Either one of those guys would be the perfect fit and since they are young, wouldn't be a quick fix either since they are both starting material and could grow with the team.
Sign Dooling and Evans to contract extentions in the offseason, sign Williams to the vets minimum as a good vet PG backup, use the MLE on a SG and call it a day.
2008-2009 Magic
PG Nelson, Dooling, Williams
SG MLE player, Evans, Reddick
SF Lewis, Hedo, (1st round pick)
PF Haslem or Wilcox, Cook, Fran
C Howard, Battie, Foyle
My personal preference by the way would be Wilcox. He is 2 years younger than Haslem and he is also bigger than Haslem.
Oh and as far as the trade checker goes it could be one or the other.
Garrity or Arroyo, Bogans and a future 1st round pick for Haslem or Wilcox.

Thousands? I respectfully disagree. Either way, common sense says a better product (championship caliber team) will actually put more bodies in seats than Carlos Arroyo currently does. Common sense tells us that.

do you honestly think they'd stop coming to games completely if we traded him?
i use to be a huge tmac fan but did i stop going to games?
winning would have a huge impact on attendance...say we rocked the ORENA again with wins...people would come no matter what player was on the team..just look at the blazers..

Bibby wouldn't have solved much (except a bit more consistent pg play), while Haslem provides an answer to a glaring weakness.
