Horford's age is showing, guy has had miserable playoffs. He shoots sub 39% FG and like 32% for 3.
Smart's limitations as starting PG are on full display in matchup vs Harden. Harden cooks something out of nothing, Smart hands the ball to Tatum or Brown and moves away.

Harden now has 40 assists on 11 turnovers, Smart 22 assists on 13 turnovers.

But core of 76ers issue is fact that they aren't equipped to guard Embiid. Matter of fact, it seems like any serious contender left ( aside from Warriors, who are at verge of eliminations) has monster at C.

Horford should be a situational player at this point. One thing I noticed about Bos last year during their finals run was that their offense was essentially Tatum and Brown taking difficult and contested 3s and they were going in. They really didn't have much versatility to their offense, they weren't really creating plays or getting easy looks. It was isolation, hero 3s. How long can that last?

They were elite defensively last year so they could get away with this. Not anymore, they have fallen off cliff on that end. Robert Williams looks a shell of himself for some reason, Horford too most of the time, Smart isn't looking as good as before too. Having such a young and inexperienced coach isn't helping matters either.

After 3 quarters going 1-14 Tatum nails 3 3’s in the final 4 minutes to put Boston back in the league. That’s some clutch scoring work. So impressive.

Make it 4!

Man, what a collapse from Philly there. Series on the line, they had the lead but couldn’t close. They gave up with over 1:30 remaining. Embiid and Harden just walking up Court. Weak.

Tatum had a nice finish, but that was just a brutally bad collapse by Philadelphia.

They didn't score a basket from 6:13 to 0:22. 0/9 shooting with 1 turnover.

Denver is probably the favorite at this point, right?

Go the Nuggies!

I'm still hoping for a Jokic v Embiid finals. I don't think Philly has the mettle for it though.

People on GB were trashing Jamal Murray ruthlessly this series and he’s actually be pretty damn good. I’m convinced people have no idea what a good PG is anymore.

Jokic is one of the best I’ve ever seen. The real MVP.

Jokić today is best player in basketball. Hands down.

Terrence Ross was getting cooked in that 17-0 run. He was a massive flop for the Suns. Glad we dumped him.

And-1

Player Comparison: Nikola Jokić vs. Joel Embiid

Jokić took 5.3 less fga per game than Embiid, yet had only 1.6 less made field goals per game. And Jokić was a much, much better 3-point shooter. Coupled, Jokić had a eFG% of 0.660 (That is absolutely ridiculous) to Embiid's good 0.573. AND: Jokić is easily the best passing Center since Wilt. This year he had 9.8 apg. Finally: Jokić had a much better rebounding year than Embiid.

Embiid won the MVP purely because he won the scoring contest. Jokić is the better player. And if one looks to the "V" in "MVP", Jokić is more valuable than Embiid. It isn't a discussion.

Rhetoric: is there a GM in the league that would take Embiid over Jokić?

As a fan, I also really enjoy how Jokić plays. It is what basketball should be.

I think they move Ayton to cut payroll and find a solid role player to take his spot.

I wonder if Atlanta could make a Trae/Ayton PnR something good? Maybe Indiana try a twin towers with him and Turner? San Antonio or Detroit could probably afford to have a sniff.

Brooklyn could probably use him if they can find a 3rd team to take Simmons.

With what Ayton has shown... do you think teams are willing to break the bank for him and his contract?

I mean i thought at first he would be a massive upgrade over wcj, but.... would we be better for it? I dunno what is Ayton's problem.. he shouldve been better than this.

Ayton, Poole, Tobby Harris, Middelton... their teams are all victims of fact that they can't sign new players so they resign current ones on albatross contracts.

Former Magic players:

Ross 8 mins -27
Biyombo 7 mins -26
AG 34 mins +2 (worst of team of those with significant mins)
