Horford's age is showing, guy has had miserable playoffs. He shoots sub 39% FG and like 32% for 3.
Smart's limitations as starting PG are on full display in matchup vs Harden. Harden cooks something out of nothing, Smart hands the ball to Tatum or Brown and moves away.
Harden now has 40 assists on 11 turnovers, Smart 22 assists on 13 turnovers.
But core of 76ers issue is fact that they aren't equipped to guard Embiid. Matter of fact, it seems like any serious contender left ( aside from Warriors, who are at verge of eliminations) has monster at C.
Horford should be a situational player at this point. One thing I noticed about Bos last year during their finals run was that their offense was essentially Tatum and Brown taking difficult and contested 3s and they were going in. They really didn't have much versatility to their offense, they weren't really creating plays or getting easy looks. It was isolation, hero 3s. How long can that last?
They were elite defensively last year so they could get away with this. Not anymore, they have fallen off cliff on that end. Robert Williams looks a shell of himself for some reason, Horford too most of the time, Smart isn't looking as good as before too. Having such a young and inexperienced coach isn't helping matters either.
